I agree. Imagine a tiny 3.5-4.0l V8 from Honda, Vtec or not, with a high revving, low torque characteristic like the old N/A cars used to have. What a platform to build on for time attack or hillclimb!

It definitely is! One of the most reliable V8s and its a very high quality car with a nice amount of power to putt around on the street with from time to time. Definitely recommend you test drive one if you want to see what it's about.

I don't recall if there was a power loss but only because we put the exhaust on the car almost immediately after picking it up and didn't get on it that much during the time it was stock. I'm sure a muffler delete could help bring back the low end feel you're looking for with the added power it brings but that'll make the car louder and might cause a little drone.

@@ba5660 That's really weird man. I would try posting on the ClubLexus forum asking if anyone else is going through the same thing. Those guys are really helpful and might be able to explain what it might be. Also, idk how old your spark plugs are but that could also be something you should consider checking out, you can definitely lose some power from worn out spark plugs.

Yes! and the car is doing fine never ran into any issues with it since the day it was picked up back in 2018. The motor in these has been proven to be pretty much bullet proof as there's a Lexus ISF (same motor) I seen going around with over 400k miles. It's honestly the perfect daily other than the gas mileage which really depends on how heavy your foot is 🤣

It never actually went into production so I assume the twin turbos ended up causing some kind of failure. Supercharging these cars is currently the only way to go (somewhat reliably) and those cars are making low to mid 700s to the wheel as of right now.

Okay, so when he rolled up there were cars coming. He just goes like no one's coming; rolls slowly, whereas in any other normal situation you'd want to accelerate as to not invite the people coming to run straight into you and total your rear end, (he does this to avoid wheelspin); then as he is taking off, absolutely no one shows up. Did the people coming turn in, or did they get abducted, or maybe they despawned? Wtf Edit: Forgot to mention, it appears you can't even see any headlights on the immediate area of road in view anywhere in the last few seconds. Cue the X-Files music Edit Edit: Also the exhaust sounds pretty good too.

Yea man it's the price of being one of the last luxury N/A V8s on the market. Definitely isn't competing with anything serious but it's still an enjoyable car. Most RCF owners have a different fast car and this is just their cruising around weekend car.

@@thebetterjetstreamchad3130 Yea tbh it's a heavy car so the handling wont be as nimble as one of those smaller cars. Also because of the V8 you'll be getting gas often. I will say that this car is going to hold its value way better than the cars you've listed so if you want to enjoy it for a little then resell it that could definitely be another option. Really just comes down to what you're looking for though bro. The RCF is just the unique option with a little performance and reliability.

These cars usually pop on upshift when the torque converter locks. The car needs to be driven in manual paddle more for the torque converter to lock up and give those crispy shifts

Its purpose isn't to be fast 🤷‍♂️ It's a Luxury Grand Tourer. Faster than majority of the cars on the road though. Only lost to two cars. One was a Lamborghini Huracan and the other was a Supercharged Mustang GT making nearly 600whp. Just out of curiosity, what do you drive?

Anyways, the RCF is in a class of its own. Classy, quick, and most importantly well built reliability ! This car was made with love, not just horsepower !

Yea they're very similar. Both 5.0 V8s. You really only pick up the difference in person. Mustang owners can usually tell a difference though even through video.
