The road noise intrusion is probably due to the run flat tyres, they're really bad! Put a pair of Michellin Cross Climates on that bad boy and it'll be so much quieter I imagine. The last gen NX had the same issue, the cross climates transform the ride of the previous gen NX.

yes, he choked on some of the less-common words - "flummoxed" was a great laugh. Clearly it's not a word he uses much, nor anyone else for that matter. I'm flummoxed at why they'd didn't let him speak more naturally

Thank you Byron for the great review! Would you recommend the 2WD or AWD version of the NX 350h F-Sport model? The car will be mainly (>95% of the time) driven in the Melbourne metropolitan area, occasionally on the Great Ocean Road, and possibly to the skiing resorts in Victoria and the Snowy Mountains in NSW, Many thanks!

It sounds like the 2WD would be appropriate for you in the vast majority of instances. However, if you will be travelling to ski resorts and don't have another AWD/4WD available to you, then the AWD may be for the best.

Regarding the interior space, I haven't sat in the NX yet, but I have read on social networks that the space is lacking for really tall people in the front seats. Me being 195cm (6'5'') tall, I'm interested in whether it's true, do you have a really tall person that have tried the seating in the new NX?

We have a taller-than-average reviewer, Richard Berry, who is 6'4", and if he's around when we have an NX in the CarsGuide garage, we'll get him to report back to you on space. I know that (as a 6'0" man) the front passenger space in most of the TNGA products across Toyota and Lexus is quite limited. Thanks Matt

I'm the same size as you and during the ride of the new NX 350h, everything was fine in terms of space. But I have to add that the sunroof is not the best option for tall drivers due to the pretty high position behind the wheel.

@@RafkoKiller1 thanks, I have driven the Corolla, Camry and RAV4 and it was fine for me, but i heard rummors about the NX that they have cut space on the front seats, so was curious because I haven't sat in the NX yet. I assumed that being largely based on the RAV4, the space was the same as the RAV4.

It's all about the height of the front seats. IMHO they are installed a bit higher than in RAV4 but, as I wrote above, without a sunroof is enough space for guys in our size.

Ummm, Lexus and Toyota seem to have NO idea how to build a car to fit tall drivers and front seat passengers!

NO SPARE TYRE

.I own the 2022 450h+ F sport..Note the Heads Up display on the windshield W/14” Crystal clear display on both, alone makes the Lexus better........Mine is In Atomic Silver Glows in the Sun Light with Lil" grey metal flake" and same Circut Red interior.. but with Electric battery...Has 306 Horse power 0 to 60 in 5.6 sec (Via Road and track at drag strip!.) This model DOES- NOT have a TURBO...But rather, a Naturally aspirated / Carb...........(important because it is well known that TURBOS stress engines)...simply said: see euro cars shop time & inevitable “ Check Engine Light CONTINUALLY!!....this car combines the Elec Batt and engine to achieve *89 miles per Gallon in Hybred mode with HIGH torq, And VERY quick out of the hole...Jus' blew the doors off a 735i beemer...albeit for only a block ...( I am no dummy a V* will eventually pass many cars in the long dist. (in all fairness) ......However, who cares the thrill is initial take off and tickets are for high speed & SPEED...Kill's! My car has Red Calipers against Powder coated Gloss spoke Black mags and All red "F" Sport Badges........ FAR better built than euro's (mine built in Japan) sadly, new releases are now being made in Canada! Like USA Union shops...no one gets fired for a hang over and bad work??? maybe)..... However, Lexus is Far more reliable...Far better Re-Sale that Euro beemers or mercedes Check Engine Light Gucci headache) .......indeed mine has Gone UP in price...Not many cars you can find Like that!... IF YOU CAN FIND ONE ANYWHERE do grab it!......"econ 101".....Has (3) elec. motors gett'n 0 to 60 in 5.6 sec (road and track) HIGH torque QUICK out of Hole!......~*~*Never do I use gas..... gett'n 43 miles per 120 Volt charge (real world driving my experience.) and NEVER USE GAS Frean'n inflation caused by “Elections Have Consequences!....Almost Silent operation in elec....So do your research, PLEASE......as this is Far better than any European beemer, mercedes and korean etc. All those are depreciating the moment you drive off the lot BIG TIME! And are un- reliable offering to say nothing of the GAS HOG unproven G 70, & RDX not worth mentioning. Z Best of the BEST F Sport 450h+ ! ….One more thing, Jus' a heads up!......My wife drives the RX 2020 model...Consider putting Michelin's at $1000.00 en ebay and balanced on your NX 450h+ F Sport replace the Idiot Run Flats that the dealer wants a $1200.00 extra for warr because like me You WILL eventually get a flat and the Run YOUR WALLET Flats are required to replace??? are you freak'n kidding????....Michelin's primacy same size &......Far and away EVEN a much smoother ride, Shissh, Do Not tell my wife ...even smoother than her 2021 RX 350....because My "F" Sport has the added "Adaptive Suspension". Much better ride than the HARD Run Flat Bridgestones that come stock. Carry a Batt. quality inflator ( DeWalt 20V MAX Corded/Cordless Air Inflator ) and string tar impregnated rope insert-er and Do-Not wait for AAA. I think the roof is too low. I like SUV's to be tall to give a better view and greater ease when entering and exiting.

To me, if it rides firm, it ain't a luxury car.

I’m sure this man is a lovely person and a very good journalist - but this is video. Did you ‘screen test’ him? Im sorry but this video was very boring. Great cadence and tone to put an anxious person to sleep. Might chuck it on next time I’m having a panic attack.

None of these cars have Sunroof/Moonroof option!

X3 is not it’s competitor the X1 is and the are priced competitively if not identical.

no, the x1 is much smaller

I just had my IS350 in for a service and they gave me an NX 250 as the loaner. I didn't like it at all. Loud road noise, gutless performance and the engine/exhaust sound is really poor. I thought I was in a diesel it made so much racket. The fit and finish is what you'd expect from Lexus but avoid the 250 if you have anything resembling an interest in cars.

Can’t stand runflat tyres give me a full spare any day

Damn I almost fall asleep, good points but the way he explain it is so boring and monotone especially when he is talking while driving…like he is bored and viewers are bored too.

Don’t buy it

Road noise plus a firm ride = FAIL... Buyers will still continue to flock to Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz! Nice try Lexus with another jazzed up Toyota!
