Lexus LM hybrid 2024 review: New luxury people mover blows Mercedes-Benz V-Class out of the water?

The 2024 Lexus LM is not the new model most people expected the Japanese premium brand to launch in Australia. You see, it's a people mover - that's a segment a lot of carmakers are abandoning locally (see: Honda Odyssey) as buyers flock to three-row SUVs in increasing numbers. So, where does it fit in?
Well, at the top end, of course. The LM has the Mercedes-Benz V-Class firmly in its sights. Yes, that means it's seeing past the best-selling Kia Carnival, although all of three of these models are competing for fleet sales with private car service operators. Needless to say, the Lexus is looking to offer its occupants the best experience of the bunch.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Managing Editor Tim Nicholson samples the new LM and its all-hybrid line-up to find out whether or not it's raised the bar for luxury on four wheels. But as he finds out, there's a lot more to the high-end experience than just the nuts and bolts.

Are you ironic ;) ? In Germany, this thing costs way over 100,000 €! Sure, I like Lexus, but this will not find many buyers in Europe!
Couldn't your camera reach the 3rd row to show what it looks like back there and show us what the boot looks like, if the back seats slide back and forth or fold even?

$700 per service… capped… If the 160k price tag was not already a deal breaker 😂

The car is actually quite cheap in Australia compared to other market, but too bad that hiring a chauffeur is too expensive in Australia . No one really drives this van themselvs; this is a rear-seat buyer's car. Maybe this will become a true high-end business shuttle for the casino.
1:24 for that starting price, buyers in Indonesia could only get the hybrid Alphard 😢 You guys are so lucky down there

In South Asia and Central Asia can't afford Alphard or Lm and They buy Toyota Vellfire with Innova Engine

the first row doesn't have the sunroof, don't know why the lexus want to save this money?? comparing with the new VW multivan, the rear room usage is less flexible. looking forward to seeing how the market acts.
In australia its approximately 170k for 350h and 220k aud for 500h, whereas in vietnam its 550aud for the 500h lol

In the LM350h, the front and second-row seats are ventilated but the third row is not. All seats in the LM500h are ventilated. -Tim

Sorry but that is one hell of an ugly looking thing. I would not be seen dead in something like that. Save your money & buy a Kia Carnival if you need a people mover. This is just an overpriced ugly box on wheels.
