Have you experienced any issues with the hybrid battery?? I saw a good deal on a 2007, but hesitant of pulling the trigger because of fear of replacement cost for the hybrid battery.

Maybe you can do a Battery Health check at your local Lexus dealer, I did it before I bought mine and got a year warranty on the battery.

Owner of a ls600. Toyota was on to something with these performances hybrids. Sad that their weight and lack of aftermarket kept these from being in the spotlight. Still amazing underrated vehicles

My previous car was a Gs450h. The best car ever, even better than my newer rx450h. I miss it so much. Perfect combo of comfort, performance & reliability

These are so ahead of their time. Got a GS300 V6 quite a bit to run compared to other cars out there of course but don’t wanna let her go.

Didn't like the design when it first came out but it's really grown on me.

I have a 2007 MY, radar cruise control and all, 320.000kms runs great!

I love these Lexus

It is such a timeless design

Certainly a nice car. Just hope the hybrid tech stays in good shape

It usually does but it is wise to replace the battery if purchased an ultra high mileage one

The hood doesn t align with the bumper and is a different color. You should also clean the maf and the throttle body for full 250 kw acceleration. Go easy on her until the battery is at least half charged or you will kill it. It doesn t matter if it s 2008, it s more technically advanced than tmost of today's cars. Take care of it and don t abuse it, that s real quality right there

Great video thanks for posting , took the plunge and bought a 2006 model in black, with black leather. 92'000 on the clock so not even run in. Collect it this week, cannot wait to open it up...

Drove about 40k kilometers with mine and only have done normal maintenance stuff. If the battery is already replaced I wouldn’t worry about it at all. Only thing that was more expensive than I expected were the shocks with the AVS function (About 400-500€ per shock). And no aftermarket option where you keep the sport function (only with pretty expensive coilovers).

nothing to worry about. If you think of hybrid battery pack as preventative maintenance it should be fairly trouble free. The car barely uses any brakes...and all i need to worry about is oil. 164k 2011 gs450h reviewed by auto obesesive garage.

Take 2010 model its trouble free. Previous has battery, bolts of vvti broke sometime, inverter can fail, and pump on the transmission can have issue in early models.

@@jpizel1070it is a cvt but it is a Toyota hybrid cvt which is different from a normal gas car cvt

I had one for 2 years. Same colour. Fantastic car however the battery is on borrowed time. You can refurb the battery but only lasts around 1 year unless you replace the whole unit with Lexus and that is expensive. The car will cruise at 150mph in comfort. Enjoy.

What mileage did you sell it at roughly?

My brother has one 2 of these many years ago. I wasn't ready for a comfy automatic back then but now I miss it

Looking at a cheap car, under £5k and these come up along with the usual Merc and Audi's.. and even Jaguars, but I think the lexus is more reliable

Mine seems to be even quicker with a k&n replacement filter and drilled sloted rotors (lighter).

Who buys audi anymore... lol
