In this video we show the installation of CarPlay® and Android Auto® system VLine VL2 into Lexus ES 300H 350 2015 2016 2017 2018. We show how to disassemble the dashboard, take out the stereo and display, and connect the VLine VL2 system to the back of the stereo and display.

Once VLine VL2 is installed into the vehicle, the user can enjoy modern features such as CarPlay, Android Auto, and fully functional Android interface directly on the factory car stereo screen, without the need to replace the factory screen.
The system is fully integrated into the existing factory system, and works with Lexus factory joystick controls, buttons and steering wheel controls. Factory backup camera and climate controls keep working!

excellent video, can you please explain did you have to make a hole in the glove compartment to get the wires in? thanks :)

Thank you for the feedback. It depends on the glove box, on some there is small cavity that allows you to run the wires through, or sometimes there is the little cover that can be removed. On the others you need to make the hole to get the cables through.

Do you plan to update android version of your devices or release new modification based on newer version ? I want to install your device for LS600h, but it has android 8. It's a little bit old.

yes we plan to upgrade the Android. Please sign up for our notifications at bit.ly/vline_interest to receive an update once the new Android is released. Android 8.1 in general is stable for automotive use, and if you plan to use CarPlay or Android Auto, the version of the Android does not matter at all.
does the radio head unit control navigation and dash controls and radio itself? took 17 es 350 in today with a screen message "cannot read file take to dealer" quoted 2700 for stereo ad install

The headhunt controls the navigation and radio, and dash controls. Strange that the dealer suggests replacing the stereo, maybe it is possible to repair it? Check with the stereo shops near you.
hey wanting to buy this vline for my gs. just wondering if the gps and microphone cables are required to run apple carplay? will it use your apple iphone gps, if gps wire is not used? (i’ll probably use the wire, but just wondering how everything works!)

It depends on your vehicle if you will need the mic or not. For 2015-2018 Lexus ES you will not need to add VLine mic, as the system will integrate with the factory mic. As for GPS antenna, it is not required for CarPlay, however highly recommended. It will enhance the GPS signal, and preserve the iPhone's battery. Also CarPlay might require the external GPS in the future.

Hi, I drive a Lexus ES300 H (2017) The radio is not working, it says Checking map disk in progress please wait a moment then A program cannot be read, please consult to a dealer. I can’t deal with my dealer, they are asking me for 7,000 thousand dollars. I’m just a lady who drives a taxi in NYC Please can you advise me on a much affordable option. I’ll really appreciate your opinion on this matter Belkis
