    Why I'm I being arrogant when the only bike I can afford is a lexmoto. I've put my dream to own a bike for far too long. I save but more important things come up like owning a house, being man of the house with lowered shoulders due to the load of responsibility. As always a good video and I hope you get your back sorted.

    Not a bad bike for the money, although I dont see anyone thinking of a 125 as a long-term keeper. It'd make a new rider bike but the lack of torque would get old really fast.

    Lovely looking bike! First day on the adrenaline today for me and what a blast, I felt 17 again lol. Managed 60 without ragging it which surprised me as I'm a fellow 6'4 chap and weigh about 21 stone. It actually felt quite fast which just goes to show what not riding for about 30 years can do

    I had 67mph at 5"10 and 15 stone against wind. It is a UM development Input engine, 5 gears. Found the left foot position a bit odd and the seat a tad wide. Make sure the feedstock bearing isnt to tight, I do find the Hawk has better handling lines.

    I love the colour scheme and the bright red frame. The big silver piece near the end could use some extra paint, sticks out a bit much. The small front tyre makes it nimble, but also sensative for tankslappers.

    The first bike with linked brakes was the British made Rudge 500 in 1934. (Yet another thing invented by the British!!). It was also the first bike with a left hand gear change lever and right hand brake because performing a U-turn on a UK road is easier if teh gearshift is on the left and the brake on the right.

    It is a beauty! I didn't end up with a lexmoto as I wanted the little extra top speed that you get with a duke (compared to the venom) and the fact that I can pretty much sell my 2nd hand duke for what I paid for it (if not more). Otherwise, very impressed with what you get for your money!

    the front brake does not operate the rear brake combined brakes work only on the rear brake pedal when you push it the rear works as normal but the front comes on as well but only about 25% when you pull the front brake lever only the front brake is being used this bike however has the 2 fronts dics one side is part of the combined system working with the rear the other works only when the front brake lever is pulled. on single front disc bikes the combined system only works one piston on the front disc. on the front they may have 3 pistons on the caliper but 1 is for the combined system the other 2 pistons only work when the front brake is applied thus allowing for the youngsters to pull stoppies

Bennelli 2C 125 = 85 MPH (2 stroke twin). Yamaha RD125DX = 84 MPH (2 stroke twin). Honda MBX125 = 80 MPH (2 stroke single). Yamaha RD125LC = 78 MPH (2 stroke single). Suzuki GP125 = 76 MPH (2 stroke single). CZ 125-476 Sport = 76 MPH (2 stroke single). Yamaha RS125 = 76 MPH (2 stroke single).

    It's a great bike, but here's the funny thing which I believe most will shun away from it... It's a "sports" bike. Just checked my insurance on my XJ6n it's £500 next year fully comp. I can't seem to find this on the database for the comparison site but I used an R125 instead and on that it's £745. Doesn't that seem weird lol

    I think you'll find that's because the YZF 125 is twice the price of this. Insurance is a funny thing it all depends on where you live how old you are and how long you been riding etc

    Isn't the whole point of combined braking supost to stop you locking up the front wheel, the dubble disk kinda defeats the object of the system

  • @spicy110

    @spicy110

    When I say I tried to make it do that I really really tried! You would never brake as suddenly as I was as in I jabbed at the front that would lock up on any double disked bike, also sand.

    I don't think your getting my point. I made it lock up. If you yanked the brakes on like that on any double disk bike it will lock up unless it has ABS. So it would be the riders fault if it locked. I was very hard on the rear and one front disc then jabbed on the other front disk overwhelming the rubber on a road with sand all over it.

    Such a shame the younger generation haven’t got the 2 strokes we had, my de restricted Honda NSR 125 did over 100mph and would have murdered all todays 125s on acceleration.

    You won't its a big bike, especially with the V-twin engine. ll they did was take their 650 bike and make the engine smaller. Either that or a Honda Varadero 125 which is also a big bike. I am 6ft tall and 20st and i fit fine on my lexmoto adrenaline as its got a very high seat height and high suspension.
