Its because he really only cares about the lyrics and not really the musical aspect of it as much. It's why he got visibly annoyed when he asked her if she was paying attention to the lyrics and she said no. lol They are legit complete opposites when it comes to how they consume music and what they enjoy about it. She is more into the feeling, what instruments are being used and how, and he is into the lyrics and needing to understand what the song is about.

Guns N Roses: Appetite For Destruction is THE quintessential 80s hard rock album. Their debut album and it went straight to number 1. It's the 11th best selling album of all time! I have an unbelievable amount of nostalgia for this as it was the first album I ever owned. Had it on Cassette and played it until it finally broke. I remember those years from 1987-1994 when every time GNR put out a new album or live concert video it was an event. Hell, I remember my first girlfriend had a poster of Axl Rose (the singer) on her bedroom wall. Guns N Roses for life!
Slash’s guitar and Axl’s voice is an unbeatable combo!;}> These guys sold over 189 million records worldwide. So anyone who tries taking away from or talking shit about this group never really listened to them and are quite simply just hating;}>

MTV played it at least once an hour. This was also back when there were actually music stores where you bought music. The albums/cassette tapes/CDs sold out as soon as they hit the shelves at first. Great memories. I miss the music store experience..
Sweet Child O' Mine or November Rain are probably good early introduction songs for GNR. They are going to be Brad's vibe for sure
@wrmonahan30

I wouldn't put November rain as an "early" introduction. They should stick to appetite for destruction for atleast 3 or 4 songs I think. November rain was like 5 years after appetite for destruction. But they most certainly must check out November Rain in the future. I would say Sweet Child O Mine, Paradise city and Mr. Brownstone first. Then most certainly the Use your illusion album after that. The Spaghetti Incident they should jus completely skip over. That album was an embarassment, lol.

This was the song that introduced GnR back when I was in middle school. This group really defined those years for me, and even to this day I'm still getting new meanings out of their songs. Axl the lead singer actually does have a 6 octave range in his voice which is amazing so the high parts aren't actually part of a character or anything. For my money, Slash on lead guitar is easily one of the top 5 greatest guitarists ever, his solos are amazing and especially when you get into their longer songs they actually enhance the lyrics. Others may have commented on this already, but I like the song because it gives you a very specific idea of what a large city does to you, especially if you're there looking for fame.
