Its because he really only cares about the lyrics and not really the musical aspect of it as much. It's why he got visibly annoyed when he asked her if she was paying attention to the lyrics and she said no. lol They are legit complete opposites when it comes to how they consume music and what they enjoy about it. She is more into the feeling, what instruments are being used and how, and he is into the lyrics and needing to understand what the song is about.

Guns N Roses: Appetite For Destruction is THE quintessential 80s hard rock album. Their debut album and it went straight to number 1. It's the 11th best selling album of all time! I have an unbelievable amount of nostalgia for this as it was the first album I ever owned. Had it on Cassette and played it until it finally broke. I remember those years from 1987-1994 when every time GNR put out a new album or live concert video it was an event. Hell, I remember my first girlfriend had a poster of Axl Rose (the singer) on her bedroom wall. Guns N Roses for life!

I would say Sweet Child O Mine, Paradise city and Mr. Brownstone first. Then most certainly the Use your illusion album after that. The Spaghetti Incident they should jus completely skip over. Welcome to GNR! One of my favorite bands as a teenager. You definitely need to listen to more of their music. There is a very defined evolution with this band as they became more famous. They got better with some time and experience. Another band I highly recommend from this era is Skid Row. Great reaction as always.

This was the song that introduced GnR back when I was in middle school. This group really defined those years for me, and even to this day I'm still getting new meanings out of their songs. Axl the lead singer actually does have a 6 octave range in his voice which is amazing so the high parts aren't actually part of a character or anything. For my money, Slash on lead guitar is easily one of the top 5 greatest guitarists ever, his solos are amazing and especially when you get into their longer songs they actually enhance the lyrics. Here are some of my ideas for you all to try out. From their first album Appetite for Destruction - Paradise City, Sweet Child O' Mine, My Michelle, and Mr. Brownstone From the Use your Illusion double album - They have a trilogy which is Don't Cry, November Rain, and Estranged. Others on those albums that are must listens are Coma, Civil War, Breakdown, Locomotive, The Garden, Don't Damn Me, Bad Apples, and You Could Be Mine.

"Welcome To The Jungle" is an all-time classic, to be sure, and GnR's debut album, Appetite For Destruction, is the best-selling debut rock album ever. And the album is almost like a greatest hits album, as most of the songs on the album are classics today ("Mr. Brownstone" being my favorite).

Others may have commented on this already, but I like the song because it gives you a very specific idea of what a large city does to you, especially if you're there looking for fame. I have to say, I love the lyrics because they are powerful, sleazy, sexy, and everything you'd find along your way tot he top, only to be chewed up and spit out by the city itself. It's pretty hardcore, for me anyway. Great lyrics. I hope you take time to analyze them. Love your videos! Rock on! \m/
