I’m gonna have to be honest, they did a terrible job on lex Luthor in Batman v Superman. He acts like a clown and the riddler combined. He doesn’t act like himself

When I watched the film for the first time, I thought Lex was going to become The Joker at the end of the movie given how he mainly antagonized and manipulated Batman. Lex and Superman BARELY interacted, and his motivation for hating Superman made no sense as the mass property damage left behind only made Lex richer via reconstruction contracts.

Fun fact is that Josh Brolin turned down the role of Lex for the DCEU and ended up giving us MCU Thanos.

While I don't regret his casting as Thanos, I also think he would've made a far better choice as Lex Luthor than the guy they DID cast. Just imagine a cut of Batman V Superman where Josh Brolin is Lex Luthor. I would pay money to watch that!
