This seems like a great option for all-purpose mic. Very pleasant in the ultra high frequencies, at least the ones I can still hear at my age :-)

I’m thinking about buying two. With the figure 8 pattern you can position a mic on the vocal with the side pointed at guitar and another on the guitar with the side pointed at the vocal and get the least amount of bleed in between guitar and vocal. The reverse patterns on this mic are for when using on something like a guitar amp so you so you can see the selection screen without having to move the mic. A nice convenience if you do those kind of things.

thanks for a great channel! :) I am new to recording and just ordered an Audient id 14 mll... Now I am a singer / actor and am looking for a mic to start a home studio to make a living on voice acting but foremost a mic for getting good at my singing and learning to record myself... I want a mic that is future proof down the road so I can work professionally with voice acting as well as singing... I found the mics from this company to stand out to me and that they are still in a good price range... But they got so many mics 😅 So, I wonder what are the benefits and cons between the mic you present here and their little cheaper mic the LCT 440 PURE!? What might I loose if I go with the little cheaper one over this one or are they for totally different types of recordings? I will record at home and most people suggest me to avoid a condenser mic and go with a dynamic mic to avoid noise from the streets or neighbors etc when recording at home... - But I want a mic that also pic up the details in my voice as I am singing... Can you please help me understand better what mic might be the right for me? thanks! 😊

I sometimes use a Proline PLDRB1B and it works great. It's a little more expensive than others, but its a bit sturdier than others.

@@thelowaction9573 btw, how do i test this mic? It's my first time using mic and audio interface ssl2+ and window10. How to know this mic is suitable to my product and Thank u for the reply above.

@@backpackingvillager1480 it should work just fine. The mic requires phantom power which the interface provides. Plug it in and into your DAW (or what ever you're using to record vocals) and you should hear it automatically through your headphones/monitors.

I think your voice sounded best in Super Cardioid. What do you think?

I think my voice sounds like crap in everything, but thanks. Haha! I find myself using Super Cardioid more often. I also like the figure 8 pattern for room mic situations.

Super Cardioid has the advantage to be less sensitive to room acoustics. In a good treated room cardioid might sound even better, but in a room like his not.

Is this mic really very sensitive ?

I think it is. The different polar patterns gives different sensitivity levels respectively.

Any insight into those two mics since? I've narrowed down my search to the 441 flex and nt2a. I've only found a video in Russian doing a comparison. That video has me leaning toward the 441 flex.

Hm, I still think it’s a bit cheaty to claim 8 different patterns. Yes it’s nice not to have to turn the mic, but still it’s just 4 different patterns.
