Because his entire family sacrificed everything just so he could race. Everyone knows his dad worked 4 jobs at times to support him. But even his stepmum poured all her money into his racing career, instead of buying clothes and stuff for herself. The entire family never went on holidays never had nice dinners outside, all just so he could continue racing. He knows he wouldnt be where he is today without them
Lewis is one of the rare people whose life is almost too unbelievable to be a movie. Truly inspirational!

You know, now without the whole untouchable Mercedes domination this year, we get to actually see just how much racecraft Lewis actually has and how much he uses his experience to squeeze every last ounce of pace out of the car. Lewis was the reason many people around the world became formula One fans. He attracted new viewership & the ratings of F1 went through the roof. Since 2007 there has been a sevenfold increase of new fans, viewership & ratings. Thanks to Lewis Hamilton. Lewis has influenced formula One in unimaginable ways. What a legend. What a hero.

Truly hope u do one day. I've met him a few times n every time just kind and genuinely happy to meet you. That was many years ago but I'm hoping to meet him again as well.
As a verstappen and Red Bull fan. I can put that aside and as a formula 1 fan say Lewis Hamilton is a legend and deserves all the recognition and respect. His life experiences and how much he had to endure growing up and become a 7 time world champion... absolute beast.

i didn't find him attractive and then he started embracing his curls. i am a convert now. he truly gets more handsome with age because he finds his true style more.
As a Red bull fan and also in the Orange army I respect this guy a lot despite the rivalry on track. I hate how some of my fellow fans burnt some Mercedes merch and the hateful words thrown around online. Like it or not LEWIS will go down in history as ONE OF THEE GREATS!!! 💯🙌

It is surprising that in fact his true success didn't come until 2014. I remember him already being like a legend when he was at Mclaren and had only won a title in like seven years and always was behind Vettel and Alonso. I remember he was in Cars 2.
This is why I love Lewis Hamilton --- he's genuine, so down to earth and he doesn't act like all imperious because he's famous. He's still a kid at heart living his dream. And I love how he talked about his dad and Roscoe. Such a nice human being.

Sir Lewis Hamilton, he is the epitome of a role model- legend, G.O.A.T of F1. Wonderful person and a genuinely good guy. Kindhearted and gentle, yet powerful and stronger than so many of us.
Finally, A VF shoot designer who knows about color. He looks absolutely stunning in that orange. It compliments his skin tone perfectly! Kudos to this team. Also, it's Lewis. He's one of the greatest!

I keep up with so many sports but never have I come across any athlete as kind-hearted, humble, and talented as Lewis. He’s truly one of a kind. So glad kids of color have someone like him to look up to. I hope he stays in formula 1 for as long as possible- the sport wouldn’t be the same without him.
Man. That 07 season was mad. Fernando was the undisputed king and out of nowhere the rookie matches him for pace and ferocity. I watched the gp2 (formula 2) season in 06 and it was clear lewis was going to be good in f1 but wow.

I love this man! The humble beginnings he had, all the discrimination he faced as a person of colour on the track and how he says ‘our success’ acknowledging his mothers, the sacrifices his father had to make…. A truly truly inspiring story and a true legend ❤

Leaned so much about Sir Lewis this year. In an adverse situation he has been superb, patient, dedicated, no silver spoon mentality of course. This is such a generous interview, so open, such a beacon, come on kids, it's this way. So proud of him, such a huge ambassador for the UK.
What a legend he is. In my eyes easily the GOAT in F1 🐐 If you consider not just his on track but then his offtrack successes he is in a league of one.
Lewis is just a different type of human being. He's brilliant and the goat of F1 but beyond all of that, he has a heart of gold, just special.

Such an interesting life story. I really enjoy hearing him talk, he has a lot of interesting things to say, and I’m glad he’s using his voice more recently, to maybe try and change a few not so great things about this sport. Also, great to see people finally appreciating him. I’m glad he was in a merc and won so many titles, but i feel like that made people forget how great he really is behind the wheel.

There are not too many celebrities which you can look up to but sir Louis Hamilton is one of them Who you can truly look up to and aspire to be like him
I'm an American F1 fan who's been into the sport for years. I remember when Lewis came into F1 in 2007 when expectations for him were huge. It was obvious he was a young driver with huge potential for world championships. I've been a fan ever since then. He's one of the absolute greats of Formula 1 and he'll be remembered among the giants of the sport along with Fangio, Clark, Senna and Schumacher.
What a journey. He's one of a kind in F1 and always will be.
Don't think F1 will ever see a rookie come in like he did and just immediately start racing at WDC level. Incredible career.

the amount of love and respect i have for lewis is insane. he got me hooked into f1, and i just absolutely adore him as a racer and as a human being. i love how he is representing poc in a predominantly white sport, and he is not only humble, but does not care about the macho male stereotype of motor sport, and serves incredible androgynous outfits which he stays slaying in. glad he still has the passion and drive after all these years, and im looking forward to seeing him win his 8th (if we aren't counting last year😮💨) world title

I was never into F1. Then I started watching the show on NetFlix. I really liked what I saw. Then seeing Hamilton, Wolff and the team. He seemed just like a normal person that enjoys what he does' is very good at it, but is also very humble about it all. Now that I got my GF into it, and she watched the show and has been watching the races this year with me. We are both big Lewis fans. We like some others. But we always root for Lewis and George/Mercedes..
As a Verstappen fan, I admire Lewis and consider him the best racing driver of the 2010s era and arguably of all time. His longevity is impeccable and I'm looking forward to him having a competitive car and bringing the best out of Max again. 🔥🔥

The more I find about Lewis the more deeper my understanding is for him. I'm pretty sure that he promised his father and his family to pay them back for the sacrifices they had to make in order to keep him racing. He fought a nemesis inside him to make his promise a reality.
I think I would die for him, he gives me a lot of strength, he makes me believe in me and in the capacity I have to be someone in life. I hope to meet him at least once, to let him know who much he means to me. For me he’s a brother, I will always love him, no matter what. Love you Lewis, thank you.

History is watching you, Sir Lewis Hamilton. Humility, evolution and excellence… What a privilege to be alive and to be able to see this incredible human being, a champion on and off the tracks, making history.
the greatest f1 driver of all time. we won't see another as great in our lifetime. 9 podiums in his first 9 f1 races. wins in each of his first 14 seasons. missed championship by 1 point in his rookie season. the greatest of all time!
No matter who says what, or believes in, this is achievement himself speaking in a bright orange overfitting jacket, chilling on a coach, explaining how he got to be who he is. That is about it.
As much as I hated the Mercedes and Lewis domintation, he is genuinely such a great character. Love or hate him, you have to to respect him.
What a lovely man! I feel honored to get to watch his career while he’s still active. I imagine that he’ll forever be remembered and written into history books as a legend.
If someone make movie about Lewis Hamilton in future is gonna be a great movie obviously.

Lewis is so inspirational, his journey through formula 1 is unique and has proven time and again he is the greatest , I am happy to have watched him race in real time.

I tried to find every reason not to like him. I looked through stats, I watched videos comparing and contrasting his talent. I looked at the cars his driven, his team mates, I’ve watched his off track behaviors and read as many articles on him l could find, good and bad. And I’ve come to the conclusion that is not only a great human being but the GREATEST F1 driver of all time. Heck, the greatest athlete.

Jim Clarke never lost an F1 race which he finished without a mechanical problem. Micheal Schumacher has a 100% podium record in year 2004. Seb Vettel won 4 straight titles with a new team, of which 2 were decided on the last race and in other 2 he destroyed the field blindfolded. Clearly the definition of Greatest is not very strict in your book. I respect Lewis and he's once in a generation driver, but to call him the best ever is a bit too much..when you know 80% of the field would've been champion in that Mercedes. One of the greatest sure.

@@elizabethalex5942 most drivers aren’t as scrutinized as he is. Michael Schumacher was the only other, who came close, which to me is F1 goat number 2. Yup l said it.

I wish all the drivers would do stuff like this, i got into f1 through my bf. I'm not really into the cars, i just love the drivers and i love seeing them off track. that way i feel like I get to know them more. so now I know more of the drivers than my bf, whilst he knows more about the cars
i hate the idea of role models.. but lewis hamilton is my lock screen and through him i remember the man i strive to ba and values i want to spread
