Ah, selvedge denim. At one point in fashion history it was all the rage...then it stopped...and now it's kinda oozing back into the world and I couldn't be happier. Raw denim. Levi's jeans are the OG. The most famous jeans in the world. Their LVC line isn't AS famous as their regular line but it's still quite legendary. However, how does it compare to a brand like UNIQLO? The low price monster! Well, you'll see. And what about TCB Jeans? Are those any good?! Find out today as we find the best jeans in the entire universe and beyond the universe.
Find out...today!

    I actually found a pair of Uniqlo selvedge denim for $10 at a thrift store in Taiwan. My first pair in the world of selvedge denim and I'm genuinely surprised by it. Like you said, it's missing a lot of the finer details you expect from smaller companies but the quality is amazing for $50.

    I have seen a few of your videos, and I have to say - As far as the Menswear / Men's Fashion genre goes, you have the most unique and interesting editing and videographic creative direction. You balance really well being deeply informative with still being fun, personable, and enjoyable to watch. I particularly love the outdoor setting for many of your videos.

    Uniqlo Selvaged are best. I don't care. They affordable, the quality is good. Will last longer than walmart jeans. Not everyone can spend $800 for jeans. So Uniqlo is jeans for every working men who are tired of bad jeans that itch your skin and look really cool on top of that. You can work & dressed up with same jean for events. It's the best alternative.

    As someone who studied fashion, one of the reasons the leg twists is because the fabric piece wasn't cut on the natural grain line which is a usual indicator of a brand being cheap.

  • @Noidzor

    @Noidzor

    Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s cheap cotton. When it’s woven either left hand twill or right hand twill the fabric will shift accordingly. This is reason broken twill was invented to help combat the twisting.

  • @scottwistinghausen1888

    @scottwistinghausen1888

    Yeah that’s not true. It’s the weave pattern. The most expensive jeans in the world get leg twist cuz of there weave pattern. It’s only doesn’t twist if it’s a broken twill.

    I remember at one point, Uniqlo's selvedge denim jeans are actually made in Japan, it had a white brand tag that says "all made in Japan" and then "Uniqlo jeans", with the Japanese flag, it looks very clean. They are allegedly OEM'ed by Edwin, using Kaihara's denim, but i have no way of fact checking that.

They are an iconic item of clothing, timeless classic jeans. I've been wearing them since the 60's and I'll carry on wearing them. I do wear Uniqlo chinos... well made and great value.
