I'm sure you guys are thinking I bought another vehicle. Actually this is an old co workers Dad's Truck. It is a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado. He wanting me to install a 2.5/1.5 leveling kit and a set of wheel spacers or wheel adapters. In this video I will show you how to install a cheap leveling kit on a 2019-2021 Chevy Silverado. This leveling kit will also work for 2019-2022 GMC Sierra. I also show you how to install wheel spacers or wheel adapters on a 2019-2021 Chevy Silverado. As many of you know I am not much of a lift guy but have to say this new look with the level and wheel spacers looks great and I may have to do one down the road for myself. I also got a chance to drive it down the road afterwards and it rides just as good as stock. For a cheap Silverado or sierra leveling kit I think this works great.

Yes, I totally enjoyed this video. I just bought a used 2019 Silverado LT and I wanted to give it the ‘Trail Boss’ lift, without spending Trail Boss money. I wanted a little lift, but I do tow, so I wanted more than a level kit. So your video was perfect for me! I wanted to see / learn what was involved with the rear! Thank you for making / posting!

I've done a few of these. On the front, there isn't any need for the spring compressor. Also the 2ay the spacer is supposed to work is... there are socket headed bolts provided, and they are supposed the thread in from the bottom side, and then point up forming a stud just like the original strut. Then the spacer sits on top of the strut and nuts onto the original studs with the provided washers and nuts. You than spin the entire assembly around 180⁰ degrees and put it back in the truck and use the original factory nuts to mount it to the frame just like factory.

To protect your threads when using a pry bar, thread on the nuts and use them as your surface. Also, e brake will hold the back rotors and just have some apply the brakes while doing the front for torquing without wheel.

Man...someone is gonna have to replace those struts eventually and will not like you. The good news is I believe that Loctite does have some anti-seize properties in that it will prevent dis-similar metals from electrolysis like aluminum gets with most any bolt. Blue is a better option than red IMO, like you did. I think that anti-seize is a better option and I would have mentioned that to the fella your doing work for. A pervious owner of a dirt bike used oxide bolts like that for pinch bolts on an aluminum triple tree (holds the forks on the motorcycles). Rust all in them from washing and mud. Very visible on the bike. I know its a dirt bike, but there is a reason the OEM bolts have a dipped coating on them to keep them look good and the rust out. The first time I pulled them out it started to mess up the aluminum the threads in the clamps. That is like a 500 dollar or better pain of a part to change. I ended up using dipped OEM bolts from KTM to replace with anti-seize compound. No issues coming loose and IMO one of the most important parts on the bike to torque correctly.

Truck looks great. What kind of Silverado is this? I have a 2020 RST and want to level it out. Was thinking of a 2” level but don’t want the front to look higher than the rear. Would that have been a problem if you didn’t but the rear block in?

Those wheel spacers look like they are definitely not the right hub size since you can move it up and down while it's all the way on. Sketchy. Also the Allen key bolts are supposed to thread up from the underside of the spacer so the bottom of the bolt goes up and threw the strut tower and you use factory nuts to mount them up. Everyone does it this way tho making it a lot more hassle.
