    1. Listen more than you speak 2. Don't announce anything unless it's done 3. When everyone else is doing one thing, do something else 4. Don't display a lot of your possessions. Envy and jealousy are real and so is energy. 5. Moving in silence involves not having too much pride and living a private life without any shame Final note: Protect your energy, value your privacy, and recognize who has good intentions for you.

I deleted social media awhile ago… lost touch with a lot of friends. I noticed I always had to be the one reaching out, planning, etc. A couple months ago I made the decision to pull back and it is like I have awoken! I am finally finding peace within myself and my close loved ones and value the simple things in life now. Not everything is about showing off I have a life and finding that privacy like you speak of was the best thing that happened to me. 👏🏼

I resonate with this message so much. I recently went back to school for my degree and I would update my family members and friends on my accomplishments throughout my academic journey. Although my loved ones responded to my updates, they never mentioned anything about my academic successes. Instead, they would change the subject and talk about something else. I realize now that sometimes when they say nothing, it’s just as bad as them making negative comment. I decided to take a hiatus for the next six months and move in silence. I would advise anyone reading this to take the six month challenge and keep your energy to yourself. See what happens. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

This has been the way I move since I became an executive director of a nonprofit. 99% of my social media content is events/programming that I'm hosting, collaborating with, or supporting. Absolutely no personal or family drama, and political posts are spare. There is so much peace when you stunt on 'em in silence, and make their jaws drop at your hard work. Don't say anything about your goals and plans until it's time. Hit the gas on 'em when they have no idea how you made big moves.

GOD has such funny sense of humor!! I didn't even type anything but your video was recommended in my feed and I've been feeling like for the past month during this ME SEASON. It's my time to be alone and move in silence. I haven't been doing that I'm been doing too much talking. But after watching your video it has given me so much clarity and understanding and A SIGN. Thank you for taking out the time to create this video!!

Thank you for sharing.❤️‍🔥🔥 This reaffirms many of my core beliefs and values. It also reminds me of the scripture Matthew 7:6. It speaks about not casting your precious pearls before swine. Over the years, I’ve completely changed how I use social media. I value my privacy and I just don’t believe in giving people a free and open window-glimpse into my life. Curiosity motivates people more than compassion, and I like to be in control of what people know about me. I also think that some people are only meant to be in our lives for a season, so I’m not really into “following” people from my past when they have no relevance in my present or future. (Ex: high school classmates) But that’s just one opinion. I loved your message. You have a new subscriber.❤️

Not prioritizing your health 5. Wasting your precious time 6. Wanting something (instead write a plan and work towards it) 7. Chasing meaningless relationships 8. Wasting or draining your energy from beating your meat 🥩 9. Wasting time by scrolling social media 10. Nailbiting/nailpicking habit for good (if you do it - consider stopping it as it makes you mentally weak + affects your confidence and all other areas of your life!) This came up in my feed and I'm so glad it did. Growing up, my mom taught me not to reveal all my cards and announce every move I made, which made people wonder about what we were doing! I'm going to watch this again, this is a great video, because every you said I've done something similar. I feel like too many people in my age range, basically my peers (i.e. 18 to 35) are really into posting everything they do, at all times, trying to keep up with the Joneses, keeping up with the status quo and compete with each other. That's not me at all. And one time I didn't post on social media for over a year at different periods of my life. It's definitely true I've leveled up by moving in silence. I come off as mysterious, but at the same time some of my peers wonder how i did it. I only mention things to people I trust, and I don't announce right away until the deed is done...Anywho, thanks for making this.

Another reason why it's very important to move in silence, is the fact that when people know that you're seeking validation for your possessions, they will exploit you! In other words, they know that you're insecure, and you seek other people to validate you. Ultimately, they will pretend to care about you, just to gain access to the resources you have.

You're so right Evie, do not let anyone know your plans. I didn't want people to know my plans, but I had to tell them my plans because I want to become a police officer and to become a cop you must tell your whole family, co-workers, former co-workers, bosses, former bosses, neighbor's, former neighbors, and former classmates because the chief of police would have to do a background check on you if you want to become a police. However, I didn't want to let any of these people know what I was up to but a police officer told me if you want to be one of us you're going to have to let everyone know and you're going to have to go searching for your old elementary, middle, and high school friends. I told my friends that I want to become a cop and they will have to answer questions to a police about me how I acted in school or would I be a great cop? And they was like "You want to be a cop?"

My friend wanted to help me but she had given them to another friend from our friend circle, so she told me to get it from her. That friend said sure but is now trying to find ways to avoid me. It's just long gone question papers. There's no guarantee that I would pass by referring those papers but this little issue taught me a big lesson. When people, even friends see you working on something, they don't wanna see you win. I will be more careful and guarded around my female friends.

I just came across your video and clicked because I found the title intriguing. I've never heard of this term before but realize its something I do now (when I was younger, I wa quite 'noisy'). Based on what you're saying, its for the appearance of mystery and having a busy and fulfilled life, yet its all orchestrated. It defeats the purpose as you're still centering others. I think its more meaningful and takes less energy when one centers themself. To make use of this new-to-me term, "move in silence" for you and for you ONLY. Protect yourself and your energy for you and not because you want to appear mysterious. I now move in silence but I do it for me. I don't even think of other folks. You might think its selfish but hey...less headache.

Great video and totally agree! I NEVER post anything regarding my current whereabouts. Ever. I have a very close friend who literally posts a trail of what she's doing and who with. Whenever there's an event, you can expect a photo collage to immediately follow. She knows that I do and she got to the point where she said why be on social media if you're so private? I use it to keep in touch. Honestly, I don't like everyone knowing everything I'm doing. Maybe I don't get why people feel it's very important to let everyone know every move they make or don't make. What I do is, if I find a new place to shop or eat, I'll post a photo or two of the food/products and the name of the physical stores and/or websites. Yes, it's about sharing. But, many things should be kept private. I'm with you! Too many people about, you won't see me out and about. I'm home. Yes, I love Halloween! However, not big on parties these days. Moving in silence, I definitely do. Showing off possessions is what they call these days, flexing. First of all, it's fake. They themselves can't afford these things. They buy them on credit. If one is making payments, they don't own those things. Besides, again, I don't want everyone knowing what I have or don't have. You'll end up with relatives/friends you didn't know you had! A lion never has to tell anyone it's a lion.

I was accused of being "lonely" by a cheeky (obnoxious) manager at work. I told him, "That's what you think, because I don't come here and discuss my private life with YOU" :-0

Everything Evie's saying is FACT. There was a celebration event last weekend that I didn't go to and I'm glad because I've actually been too busy and was too exhausted to attend. Like Evie stated, it's good to create scarcity regarding your attendance at parties, get -togethers and events. You need to create that scarcity of you so people appreciate when you actually do show up. Moving in silence also protects your time.

Well said Queen 👑. I definitely move in silence, it's the way the streets raised me at one time. Salute
