Thank you for this review. How close does the HomePod/Apple TV need to be to the lock for it to work? Have you had any issues with the lock not connecting to the hub? Lastly, would you recommend this over the newly released August WiFi smart lock?

The HomePod/Apple TV doesn’t need to be very close but not so far as well. About the Newest August Smart Lock vs Level Lock so I think that August will have more features included most likely, and the August locks been out there for way longer compere to the Level lock so it’s really depends on your Preferences with Style etc, because the level lock is invisible from both sides of the door and August is visible from the inside... Probably soon I will review the Newest August smart lock I hope that help, have a great day.

Great video! i watched a few others and this is the most complete. I do have some questions. If you set the lock to unlock automatically when you approach the door,: 1) How close do you have to be to the lock: 2) Will it know not to unlock other doors near by? 3) WIll it know not to unlock the door when you approach from inside the house? Also, unrelated, my current dead bolt is not on their list of compatible locks. It does however have a 3/4" projection on the key side. Is there anything else I should look for to assure that my deadbolt will be compatible? If it helps, my deadbolt is Emtek 8450. Thanks for your help. 🙂

My concern on this one is the deadbolt that slides into the hole once locked. The battery is in that cylinder, so it’s not solid metal basically. Thoughts?

I know exactly what you think and I actually thought the same. But overall this deadbolt pass grade 1 security rating by ANSI - Which means that this dude is a very tough guy even with the battery insert into it. As long as you combine the level lock with an actual grade 1 deadbolt lock you will get a full grade 1 security rating smart lock that no one can see or know that you even have a smart lock.

I’m looking for a great smart fingerprint deadbolt. I’ve seen your videos, and I trust your opinion. I just heard about a new deadbolt called Securam Touch. There is very little information on it, but it sounds great. Please review it if possible.

I’m not sure if I’ll make a review on this smart lock in the future, but I find out some important information for you: Cons: - it’s cost $240 + tax - don’t have WiFi integration, WiFi bridge sold separately and cost about $90 - You can't create a PIN without an accompanying fingerprint - App in need of significant polish - store only 30 fingerprints Pros: - Waterproof technology - high security override key - emergency 9V jumper Ok and what’s my opinion about this lock... so I honestly think if they put the WiFi capability integrated inside the lock and improved the app + make up 100 fingerprint access and codes it would have been a great smart lock Because it’s also weather resistant unlike other smart locks. The price is expensive compare to other smart lock with better options available like the Ultraloq U Bolt Pro: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mZ6ilqZmd6rZitI.html Or the Lockly Secure Pro Deadbolt Edition: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZKeoypSNeNvTZ7w.html Bottom line I wouldn’t buy it now and wait for an upgraded version or just choose a different option like the other smart locks that I recommend you... watch those videos that I share in this message and find out what works better for you.

Silver Eagle Locksmith I like both the U Bolt and the Lockly. Does one perform better than the other? The reviews tend to benefit the Lockly. Is the 3D fingerprint a big deal.

The 3D fingerprint is little more accurate from my experience but overall both are in the same level, but the Ultraloq U Bolt Pro also have the Auto Unlock feature that the Lockly doesn’t have. Good review! One thought: Can this smart lock keep the door always locked at night and prevent entering from exterior even with the key? If it is, then it would be very high security.

No it cannot, the key will always unlock manually.

You could install it with an inside-only deadbolt which has no key way at all.

I tried getting information from Level, but what is the installation requirements if you have a right hand door? All of their videos (and yours too) show installation for a left hand door. Do you install upside down so that the same side is facing the outside as would be on a left hand door, or do you just install it right side up with the opposite side facing outside than a left hand door? I just got mine and haven't opened it to look through the included instructions yet but will this weekend before installing.

Can you get these guys on the phone and convince them to make a fully hidden version that has a cover on the inside and either to hadened bolts or nothing perferablly on the out side i want to use it as extra kick protection down low that will lock and on smart command but then my grade one deadbolt will be used with key

Will this work with a double cylinder...deadbolt that requires key to lock or unlock from inside and outside?

No only with Apple HomeKit

I don’t understand why the manufacturer’s app needs your address. I would not want my name and address in their database because it seems to me like a good way for someone who compromised their servers to get a list of vulnerable homes. I mean, HomeKit already knows where the lock is. The app should not need to tell it.

Being really honest with you, your smart phone knows where you are at any given moment, your home address or your not home address it doesn’t really matter! We living in a world that you cannot hide anything pretty much so smart lock manufacturers need your home address Will not make any difference believe me
