The MOST amazing bassist, an absolute machine...aside of the fact the guy is a lead singer as an afterthought....King is THE KING

I especially liked 'Love and pride'. One of my faves. He is the King indeed. I think he has changed his hair since but still sounds the same.

33 here, south america, they are AWESOMEE, obsessed with them, what are yoir favorite tracks? I still have a lot to listen, mine are Children Say, Lessons in love, and something about you. I must say thay, the second voice in this performance, wasnt the best :( he should have used more air on the voice and some twang, if singing like that, that hides the clowny voice some males can have (me included) when making some pitchy notes I love them, but this is not my favorite version I think in part it was the sonidist, not adjusting the voices to those parts
God! Ya Guys still sound Great!! I miss the 80's...I'm going back...Anybody else?

one of my favourite bands! They're just great!❤
Mark King will go down in History as one of the greatest base guitar musicians of our time.
Level 42 is easily one of the best bands of all time, Mark King is such an impeccable bassist. How is he able to play such a complex bass riff, sing and dance? What an amazingly talented dude.

Are you kiddin? They're slightly above average at best and the songs are poor. As for King playing complex bass riffs you're clearly not a bass player. There's nothing complex in what he does....he just slaps the strings quickly. Go watch Jaco Pastorius and be quiet.

And chew gum at the same time…
Awesome performance… the drummer is tight!!!!
This song still rips my heart out 40yrs later 😢
This is what a real performance looks like… actually playing instruments and singing, no backup track or acting!
Wow. He's not even looking at the bass strings while he's playing, plus singing while playing that bassline. truly amazing

Also, he's chewing a gum. True multitasking
Is anyone else seeing that Mark is singing this and feeling every word as if he's been there? Every time I watch his passionate delivery it brings me to tears. So many layers to this song. The musical composition is astounding. The subtle chord changes, less is more etc. I want to love this song but it's so sad. If you've been there you know what I mean. But I can't stop listening to it. What an incredible voice he has and this must be Level 42's greatest song surely...
It’s amazing to hear Mark singing the way he did it back in the 80s
Cold crowd!!! If I was there, with that bass sound, I will not stop dancing.
Mark King - playing slap bass, singing and chewing gum all at the same time since... ever. :D
this is one of the hardest slap basslines out there from its sheer relentlessness - there's no escape from that triple thumb rhythm through the whole track. The fatigue build up is ridiculous.

Espectacular sonido!! El bajo es virtuosismo en su máxima expresión
For me him and Geddy Lee are the most amazing bass players.

That slap bass would be awesome even if he wasnt singing in perfect key. Legend.

The wife is happy to have such a good bass player
As ever, just brilliant! Pete Biggin is mad. Pity I’ve seen livelier crowds in a morgue.
IMPRESIONANTES!!!!!!! Y el cantante bajista un verdadero genio, alucinante como puede tocar de esa manera y cantar así de bien a la vez, con la dificultad que ello implica y a ese nivelazo, madre mía!!!!
Che ricordi gribbio.
I became a composer in Korea because of your music
Imposible escucharla y no cantar o mover el cuerpo. Gran canción
Did I just watch the best live performance of an already great song? With a really busy bass part??

I simply can't pick out the stronger player here. Virtually EVERYone is a master.
Bass Slap like machine...truly amazing !
that drummer is nice!
This sound sick live!! everything sounds real the sick slap bassline and the drummer is killing too, to say nothing of the great vocals! much respect for this band I saw them live back in the great 80's at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in the Bay Area S.F they were opening for Madonna that day.
I forgot I love this song!!! The bassist ❤
mark king is truly a master at the art of singing thanks king king
I love this song, and Mike!

I am over the moon. It all brings back the good memories back in 1980s. Lessons in love, dont let your spirit burn... i'll wait till you return. Congratulations Level 42.
One of my favorite bands growing up in the 80s and still today. Amazing musicianship and vocals!
Sounds great
Great version
I always feel guilty not dancing, not because i don’t like the tune. One of my most favourite songs ever. Gotta be top 10 ever. Would be on my dessert islands disc for certain. Mark slapping that base, and the groove to accompany him puts me in a trance. Then right at the last minute, 30 seconds before the tune ends, I’m like oh shit. Forgot to dance. Very powerful song to captivate me like that. They’ve been doing that to me for 35 years. I’m determined to dance to it one day and not listen to it so intently. Well done chaps.
Eu adoro esses caras, cada um deles dando 110% de sangue, suor, energia, carisma e alegria.
いい曲だなぁ。気持ちが落ち着きます。🙂
Off to see you guys in Portsmouth kings theatre in October with my lovely boyfriend who is an Isle of Wight Native! Cant wait. Will bring back some Eighties memories, always loved you guys then.x

The Paramount
It's awesome watching Pete's gradual induction into the band. This gig was the first year he toured with them, and it's obvious that he's so focussed and clearly a little nervous. To be fair, the fantastic Phil Gould and incredible Gary Husband are huge boots to fill! Whereas nowadays you can tell he's a fully-initiated long-term bandmember who "knows the score", has zero fucks to give, and just does his thing and smashes it every time
