True True, I love all this. very important information. I am starting to see this in my home country of Jamaica. We have a pepper name Scotch Bonnet but finding the original now is very very difficult. I am on a mission to find the original Jamaican Scotch Bonnet, then I will keep it going.

Those are good ways. I'd like to share my technique. I bend the plant over carefully and put the whole head inside a large paper grocery bag and then flick the head in there back and forth carefully. I work my way down the row of seed heads like that and then I label the bag and leave it at room temp indoors near the wood stove to make sure they are tried down and then I winnow during the winter when I get the time.

In Viet Nam, we save lettuce seed every year. But we don't have many variety. We should change our thinking from now on.

Thank you! I learned a lot from this video! This is my first time seeing a flowering lettuce. I hope to be able to grow vegetables and collect seeds someday when I have a garden.

Jon, please think about commercialising the different varieties and other edibles as the hybrids are mostly man-made. Your market would be worldwide.

Most of lettuces can grow well in Philippines except in rainy season. Lettuces don't like to much water and heavy rain.

If we want to save seeds it is better to let them grow as best as they can don't eat them.
