I thought they did a fine job. Maybe some would rather Charlie Sheen or Vin Diesel acted in it. I liked the real team guys. I read a book by Roark Denver a few years ago. They didn t want to be in the movie but they wanted it to be actual and realistic.

When I was stationed in San Diego I had t he honor of meeting Chief Dave. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met and at the same time scary as hell. He's a true warrior and the letter he is reading sounds like the real Chief not just some Hollywood BS.

@CT Anderson Would you possibly be able to know how I would go about requesting to speak with or contact Chief Dave? Especially if you are military and had the honor of speaking with him. I know that movies aren't real life. However this poem and more specifically the wording of the letter in Chief Dave's letter in this movie and the poem by Tecumseh have impacted my life in the best possible way. I'd like to be able to thank Chief Dave and the teams for their service and also for helping me to be a better man.

"When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their times comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home".

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none. When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for the abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its visions. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh

My heart goes out to my brothers who passed in Africa but as a spec ops soldier, he did know what he volunteered for and he did it with his head held high and always lead into trouble. He would be ashamed of the press and his family disrespecting his legacy as a green beret. Thank you for your sacrifice brother! We will serve together again. Go ARMY hoooaaahh

We were all US Army on my mother's side, one at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked, his son, a Green Beret, is the only one of us that died in combat, that was in Nam. We have had a Soldier in every war since WW2, I was peace time, and a cousin was as well, yet his father was 101st Airborne in Korea and Nam. The Green Beret's nephew and great nephew were/are Ranger snipers, the youngest still down range as far as I know. I does not matter what branch of the military, as I was told, 'Same Machine, just a different button". RIP my brothers and my family. It's a shame that these guys do what they do and the heavy price they pay to make sure that the shit show we've got going for president is able to happen.. I'm proud to be a American but you think what's going on? How can the greatest country in the world take before it breaks? Everybody hates everybody. This welfare thing that goes on is awful to. People hate them, I don't like it either but shaming is not the answer, at some point you gotta realize that it's a learned behavior. Idk but you see things like these soldiers who do a dangerous thing to protect everyone. I'm not really excited for either person running, I feel like the only difference will be how fast we get there.
