    Hey Brother I went to many years of school in Tampa. I went for my Bs., Master;s, and PhD in chemical engineering. I lived on Siesta key and hit the beach every day at 3 pm. I miss Tampa and Florida so badly. We definitely need to get together sometime.Lots of great ideas.

    I like how you get right to the point, I swear you're from New York City from my neck of the woods or since you're in Florida you've been around a bunch of New Yorkers your whole life, great job brother 👍

    Hey I've been watching your videos for a while and I'm based in Florida as well, just south of you actually. I'm wondering are you only growing lions mane in the tent and also do you have any cooling set up for the tent? How do you keep temps in check for Gourmet species that prefer lower temps during our oppressive summers?

    Cheers mate great info. I’ve been running my tent way too wet and have to vacuum up the puddles. Off topic if you have time can you please explain the difference between ultra pasteurisation and sterilisation? I still do my grain in presto cookers 2.5hrs @ 15psi and assumed I was sterilising. Can you clarify

  • @cactushatmushrooms3677

    @cactushatmushrooms3677

    Your process for grain is fine. Sterilization involves pressure over time, like you're doing with grain in your presto. Pasteurization is what we do with substrate and involves steam to heat up the blocks for a longer time period. In short, use pressure for grain and pasteurization for substrate.

    Do you keep the bottom vents open for fresh air or so your exhaust fan isnt working so hard? Also, do you get bugs coming in through the open vents or through the exhaust duct, or is the duct a non issue since you run it 24/7? Thanks. Great channel. Keep the videos coming!

    So the garage has its own room we built out. The tent is in my home in a separate room. We added the tent to meet demand while we finish the new op.

    @cactushatmushrooms3677 thanks for the reply. I'm thinking about getting some plastic shelves, but I'm afraid they might be too bulky. I guess I'll see what's out there.

    @@m3m437 I did the plastic shelves at the VERY beginning and do not recommend. They are a pain to clean with all the pockets and grooves. But more importantly, they require you to do more work by removing blocks from one cart and putting them on the plastic shelves. This may not seem like a big deal at first, but after thousands of blocks youll understand. The less you touch the blocks the better for your back and morale. The wheeled wire carts can just be lifted into the tent saving tons of time.

    I can't help but be concerned about the room your in tent is in getting moisture damage. My experience has been those tents leak an extraordinary amount of moisture even without puddling and even with the bottom vents closed. The moisture can warp or cause efflorescence on the concrete and most definitely will seep into all that wood and warp it. I hope your experience growing inside a house with a tent goes better than mine did, many thousands of dollars in damage within a few short months

    What did you mean by saying from 72 to 88 speaking about humidity? And then said 85 is a bit low

  • @cactushatmushrooms3677

    The machine that measures humidity. I recommend you set the range between 72 and 88. So it turns on below 72 and off at 88. I think 88 as the high end is good and feel 85 would be too low for the high end.
