Are you not playing on any of the private servers? If not, check out forums.homecomingservers.com/installation-guide/ on how to install it. If you do some further research, you'll find other servers such as Rebirth, Thunderspy, We Have Cake (aka Cake Evo, Cake New Dawn), and a few others. Homecoming has the densest population.

I played NurseMan, a emp/psi with teleportation. Ran a guild called O-Towns finest.

2:13 iTrials take place 6 days a week. D'Spite runs them Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, and Sun. At 8p, 8p, 10p, 10p, and 1p respectively. I (Destan) run them on Wednesdays at 9p. Friday trials are reserved for players who are generally +3, but need to at least have everything but Hyrbid unlocked. They alternate between iTrial badge night, and running a crap-tonne of Magisterium. Enough to unlock hybrid for every player that shows up. So... (Again, Central times, PM) Mon: 8 Tues: 8 Wed: 9 Thurs: 10 Fri: 10 Sun: 1 Occasionally, impromptu iTrials will take place after the MSR that we have (starting at 1p) on Saturdays.

I hope one day these games can make a full on comeback with a vengeance and just decimate WoW, i used to play it more then i did WoW

@@ThugsWantHugs i guarantee you the only reason people play classic is because they don't know about city of heroes. The IP has insane potential, NCSoft doesn't know they are sitting on a damn goldmine.

@@anthonystoddard3126 1% of WoW's subs is more than 5 times the amount of subs for 80% of all MMOs on the market. The only competition WoW has is FFXIV, GW2, Lost Ark, and ESO. Also, why does it matter if a game is more popular than WoW? Like, what does that achieve? Nothing good, I can tell ya that; Because the larger, and more profitable a game becomes, the more likely it will turn into a pay to win, profit before fun abomination like most games on the market these days. Want your game to stay fun? Want your game to stay true to the "spirit of gaming" (whatever that's even supposed to be, these days)? Then keep your game small. Aim for #15 on the list of top 10 MMOs. Otherwise, you're gonna get bought out by people who don't give a shit about your game, and only care about the money it can rake in.

I just looked up City of Heroes recently because I really missed it. Is there a new version of COH in 2021? Please... tell me... I want to play it if it exists!!!

Play on City of Heroes: Homecoming. I was surprised to discover this alternative server. How many others are out there?

Shortly after Homecoming, there were several. We Have Cake was another, Thunderspy, Rebirth, and Reunion were popular. But there are a lot more out there as well that people have set up for solo, friends & family, or small communities. The source code is available for anyone to make there own server. I've considered running one just so I could exploit the admin privileges to make these build videos quicker. Usually, I have to level one up to get a demonstration, but with my own server, I could just create the character at 50, supply it with the necessary IOs, and then run a mission to show it in action.

Is the Guardian AT in the same vein as the Sentinel? And is there any chance that you would stream or record some live play time? Really like your build vids, but would love to see more "lets play" (solo or team doesn't matter)

played this game at a computer/video game summer camp and bought it afterword but my computer was never able to play it and my parents couldn't afford a nice computer to run it on. as an adult, i'm dying to play this, can it be run on a modern day macbook?

I believe so. I did a quick google search, and it looks like you may have to do a work around, but should be doable.

I have a problem. After I downloaded and played this game for a bit, I exited the game and discovered that my email page was acting up. Anyone else have that issue or is it just me?

Is this different from homecoming? Why play this versus homecoming

I’ve been enjoying the grind of Rebirth’s “vanilla” server for a few months now. Especially with earning prestige for my SG base building. My only critique is that Wentworths seems broken. There’s just no quality recipes and some salvage / ingredients aren’t available. It’s not a huge problem, but it makes set bonuses nearly impossible.

Unfortunately, as much fun as Rebirth is, there's just not enough of a population to keep WW stocked

How do I download COH or COV? I was a huge fan of the games until it went but I would love to play them again if I could.

For Rebirth, the link in the description will take you to their site. The home page will have instructions how to download the launcher. There are several servers you can play on other than Rebirth. It just depends on what you're looking for. Rebirth is most like the game as it was. But there are other options such as Homecoming, Unity, Thunderspy, We Have Cake, or Ascension. Check them out to see what fits your style.

@@bigern4889 so that account didn't exist anymore. You'll have to create a new one. These are private servers whereas that was the official one which was shut down in 2012.

Do people play this game still?? I just made a character less then 3 months after this video. I have been playing for about 3 hours and I have seen no other players

Depends on the servers. Rebirth is usually more populated in the evenings. On Homecoming, there's always at least a thousand online spread across the 5 shards.

Did you leave HC? Is rebirth superior? Does rebirth have fold space and combat tp? Can’t play without those powers anymore. Made this game 10x more fun for me.

Same game. Rebirth is closer to how it was on Live whereas Homecoming has more quality of life changes and a much greater population.

What do you think about homecoming server?

Homecoming is great! Huge population, so it's easy to get on a team.

You just need wine. I am on Arch but have run it fine under debian based systems also

How about just have “super hero” build and pick any power you want and not be restricted.

That has been done with the Champions Online game. It's almost like on life support now, not 100% sure what the issue is though.

Hell yes! SWG was, IMO, one of the best MMO's. It had everything! Player-made cities, actual shops, and farming.... actual farming that you love-hated. and no gear was alike. oh and vehicles.... why has no other game done vehicles like they did???
