When exactly? He had no ACTUAL input on Evans getting the tile. Certainly not at that point. He wasn’t 1/4 of the star he is NOW. He was NOT their biggest star at that time either. The biggest stars in Iron Man were GWYNETH AND JEFF. Even after the movie he still wasn’t bigger than Paltrow. I hadn’t heard of him in years but I knew who Evans was.

@@Bergerac82Neither of them were written true to their characters. Grimdark superman? The boyscout now never smiles? Batman uses guns now? It was never going to work out. If you’re going to disregard the core of the character, don’t use them at all.
This is why the original avengers will always be seen as the best throughout generations. This was truly the golden age for superhero films.

The MCU went to shit with Captain Marvel and the Black Widow film. The obvious DEI propaganda and feminist lecturing was so unpalatable. I stopped being excited for Marvel movies after Endgame.

@@jonathaningram8157it’s interesting seeing how the DEI doctrine has had the exact same impact across the board, be it different franchises or even mediums (i.e. gaming). The funny is they could’ve had their cake and eat it if they only did two things 1) keep ‘the story’ at the core 2) don’t berate your audience. They couldn’t do that.

RDJ is being incredibly modest here. Many marvel actors have admired his dedication to setting up weekend meetups/dinners/recreation/trips so that everyone could connect and grow together at his own expense.

Even if not there, but the chemistry between original Avengers is missing among current MCU Superheroes.
I personally am extremely glad RDJ is as successful as he is right now and conqured his demons from the past. He was and is and will always will be such an AMAZING ACTOR and i am genuinely happy for him and also that i get to watch him portray a range of different roles as an actor.!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

They raised the bar so high for the MARVEL cinematic universe. Big up to Civil War its my favorite movie out of the cinematic universe of Marvel

@@a1pha_starI don’t think they were dissing the film I think they meant to phrase it as “despite iron man and cap being at each other constantly in civil war” even at the end, the respected each other…hence when Spider-Man talks about how he went toe to toe with cap on homecoming, iron man said, if cap wanted to lay you out he would have. They may have went there own ways at the end but they never minimized or bashed each other after that, they just agreed to disagree

On a side note, MANY Actors seem VERY LIKABLE when they’re presented on screen in the various roles they play, but IRL VERY FEW prove to be LIKABLE and RELATABLE. And Heaven forbid you disagree with them POLITICALLY or on SERIOUS ISSUES which affect everyday Americans.

Civil war really was where the movies for me became something much more then just super hero action movies. Really was an intense whirl wind of emotions and gave so much depth to both their characters.
