Thanks! Works perfectly. Don’t think I will use a normal vice handle again.

If you have issues with the brass hex in future you could always buy a reasonably cheap long range socket and press fit that into the aluminium.

Yes, thanks for the tip. I will fall back to that if necessary, but really I just wanted to use the mill on some scrap.

That is what I did. I also did not have a piece of aluminium big enough diameter, so epoxied a socket into a solid piece of hardwood, I think cherry. The wood even took a knurl, just for extra grip. Well done. Dave.

@@lv_woodturner3899 I actually did give the brass Center a light knurl for this very reason. I probably should have left that in the edit. Thanks.
