Letric eBike XP 2.0 Won't Power On

If you have a eBike and won't power on you could have a Bad Display Controller and will need to get a replacement Screen Controller.

It would have only taken a couple seconds to try plugging your bike into his display just to make sure. Maybe cleaning his contacts is all it would need. I got the XP 3.0 for my wife for Christmas. It wouldn't turn on but then I remembered my Kepler didn't either at first, so I unplugged her display and plugged it back in and it was fine. It looks like you finally got a good DJI camera. Focus is good.

Hello, was curious...How do you go about cleaning the contacts?

@ryanhale1654 Just spray the contacts with a spray-on electrical contact cleaner. You could also use brake cleaner but check first to make sure it's safe for plastic. A third alternative would be to soak a Q-tip with alcohol and rub it on the metal contacts, if you can reach them. Using electrical contact cleaner is the best and easiest way. It can be either lubricated or not. Spray it in each side of the plug.

@@garyderoy Thank you so much for that info. I'm having an issue where my XP 2.0 wants to completely shut down once I reach 2 or 3 in pedal assist all the while having about 45-46 voltage reading on the display. I'll have to stop turn the key underneath off then turn the key back ON and everything powers up yet...AGAIN! WHOLE SCENARIO REPEATS ITSELF!! Frustrating to ssay the least.

@ryanhale1654 That sounds more like a controller issue than a display problem. I don't know if you've changed your menu settings, so put them all back to stock, or even try a factory reset. That will clear everything including, unfortunately, your mileage. Did that fix it? What happens if you set your default PAS to 3? Does it run? How about running with throttle only? No pedaling? Try resetting to stock configuration, put startup PAS to 4 or 5, power off then on, and go throttle only. Does it run? We're trying to determine if it's a problem with your settings, or the cadence sensor, or the controller.

I had the same problem with my younger Lectric. At 350 miles the display unit gave out, which keeps anything from coming on. Lectric sent a replacement and it's working again, but it's pretty discouraging to have to replace an essential part after only a couple of months, when the warranty is only good for a year.

Contact Lectric. They will guide you through a little troubleshooting. It is probably the display unit. Mine came quickly and it was not too hard to replace.
