@@MushroomStew basically means this. WD singing the higher part (melody) , BD middle part(harmony), and YD is the lower part (lower harmony). Also some people be saying "we can't hear blue" but the reason is because she the middle harmony. Usually the top and bottom voice you hear while the middle voice is much harder to hear since the melody sticks out

Patti Lupone and Christine Ebersole have such beautiful voices, and I can't think of anyone better to play such revolutionary women such as Helena Rubenstein and Elizabeth Arden. And, while I'm praising the Broadway diamonds, I grew up listening to Susan Egan. In the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack, they include "Home" from the Broadway show, where Susan Egan plays Belle (Also, Hercules was one of my favorite Disney movies, and I adored Meg). Lord knows how Rebecca Sugar persuaded all of these Broadway goddesses to voice the diamonds, but all the more props to her.

Yellow diamond's voice is actually pretty soothing Sounds like an angry math teacher but they're actually calm

Listening to the separate pieces makes you realise how important the three of them are when singing together. Imagine if pink was singing with them? That would sound like pure heaven I’m sure of it

@@ellemarland3879 In a women's trio, it's usually divided Soprano, Mezzo, Alto, which sounds about right. Tenors get plenty of melodies when it's just the men's section singing. Higher sounds tend to be easier to hear, so that's why the highest part (usually) has the melody.

Mad respect for Altos. It can be hard to stick to your lower range for a long time.

My two daughters love this song and want me to do a group Halloween costume with them as the diamonds, so I've been studying the harmonies so we can sing it. It would be absolutely impossible for me to figure out if you hadn't posted this and Blue's part! I would audition as a pearl(not main character) or a Rhodonite

*If you listen closely and carefully, you can actually very well hear Blue and white singing too*

its kinda interesting to hear her voice as its so unique

It’s hard to belive that she experimented on gems she’s so calming-

I honestly can’t think of another person for YD’s voice. And it’s really fitting that Patti Lupone got this part of the harmony. Her voice is really perfect for those lower notes.
