Hello All I recently introduced my 89 year old Dad to KZread and your Channel. He certainly has been enjoying your videos. I talked to him and he said “Peace and Blessings Everyone” 😁 I told him you all had a new video about Thyme, he let me know that he’s already seen it. So you all are entertaining and giving great gardening, harvesting and skills in the Kitchen to all ages. Peace and Blessings

I love to see a full pot of mint. It is so gorgeous. I add mint to so many things including my floral arrangements.

Yes indeed. It's something about a full patch of mint that makes me smile. I love just brushing my hand over it sometimes to see it dance in the wind. I could use mint everyday and never get tired. I make sure I harvest tons to last over the winter for when it does dormant. Blessings family, Tabitha

Mint is definitely a bully in the garden. A good-tasting and nice-smelling bully.

Learnt the hard way how invasive peppermint is. Planted in part of a bed. It took over, so I now have a bed dedicated to peppermint

Thank you for sharing this information. Have a Blessed Day!! When I planted my spearmint needless to say hard lesson learned, I was new to growing mint with no guidance. I planted the spearmint 13+ years ago. You can smell spearmint everytime I cut the grass, it smells devine. This is my second year growing peppermint. Peppermint is in large containers. Both mints are doing well. I have currently added lemon balm and a few pereinal herbs to my collection this year. Maybe next year add more varieties. I enjoy making tea or just chewing on a fresh mint leaf. Recently I found I have wild catnip growing in my yard. I have transplanted some into a container.

Living in Zone 4 I LOVE that it takes over without much management. We have about 36 acres and I've let apple mint run as a welcome ground cover in the front yard. When the neighbors throw manure in their corn fields each spring all we have to do is mow the lawn to get rid of the smell coming in the house. The flowering lilacs help, too. 😂Love the channel - just subscribed.

My yard is overrun with gophers. I planted spearmint directly in the ground near their nest as a deterrent and have no plans to trim it at all. I wish I had planted more last year. Fwiw, spearmint and Peppermint are different. Peppermint has oval smooth leaves and has a cooling effect on the body, whereas spearmint (commonly misnamed as Peppermint) has serrated leaves but it's a sudorific herb and will make ya sweat! You'll notice the difference if you make essential oils out of them. Spearmint is HOT. Lol. Peppermint is cooling and I love using it on sore muscles too. ☺️

Can you grow peppermint indoors? I am in the Pacific Northwest in a large city highrise with nowhere to grow but indoors. My apt faces north.
