Mike Bloomfield is one of my favorite guitarists of all time, along with Peter Green, Jeff Beck, and Paul Kossoff. Highly underrated.

Excellent - great to hear some of the good old school blues. In my younger days, before I even knew I liked the blues, Bloomfield was an artist I gravitated towards. It took me quite some time to figure out who I wanted to listen to and why. I can go back now and identify everything that appealed to me and make a connect to everything I am interested in playing now. Thanks for this blast from the past kind of playing.

Michael Bloomfield wrote an article in high times magazine called Me and Big Joe, soulfully illustrated by R. Crumb. It’s available via Google and describes Mike traveling with Big Joe Turner. A wonderful view into days gone by.

chicago style brother! Reminds me of so many guys I used to see in the late 70s growing up in Chicago with our fake IDs! sneaking into Kingston mines on lincoln ave before it was a tourist trap to see muddy Waters and like three other acts-those licks are just dripping Chicago electric blues!

OK ✅. Mike Bloomfield is the greatest guitar 🎸 player ever. I know Jimi is on another planet 🪐 but Michael was the best blues player. He lived and breathed music 🎶 and referred to himself as a Blues Man. He didn’t care about money because he got $75k/year in the 70s from a trust fund 💰. He gave us so much in a short time. Thanks for your great video. 👍☮️🌞🎸❤️
