Let's Try Pre-Weathering With An Airbrush! 1/35 BMR-3M From Meng

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

My friends, tonight we're going to explore a different approach to painting and weathering. This method is very efficient and can save us tons of time while giving us a good idea about how the model is going to look once it's finished!

I received a lot of them a long time ago, even before I started this channel. VMS is also one of my Patreon supporters. Being independent from big and exclusive sponsorship deals and showing you a wide variety of different brands and products was one of the founding ideas of this channel and I will always stand by this.

Awesome video!! Your assessment about mine-rollers looking like doo-doo while the vehicle that it is attached to looks in better shape is quite accurate. Having been around these things for almost 40 years (20 years in military and 20 years working on a military installation as a civilian employee) I do get to see these quite often. Most of the time the mine-rollers & mine-plows will be parked in some obscure corner of the vehicle parking area and FORGOTTEN about. There, they will accumulate an incredible amount of rust, dirt, leaks, and critter nests. Nobody really wants to deal with these things mainly because they are a pain in the butt to maintain, heavy as all get-outs, and a vehicle really cannot maneuver like it should when these things are attached, as well as other reasons. Besides the US Army mentality (at least when I was in 1981-2001) was just to blow through a minefield - you literally could NOT convince a tank unit that a mine-roller/plow will save lives/vehicles. Often times, it is looked down upon IF your vehicle is selected to have a mine-roller/plow attached, like the vehicle & crew suck or are expendable or something like that. In my opinion after being around mine-rollers/plows for so long, you were quite "generous" with the paint fading affect and mud. You probably could add about 10 tons of rust affects on those rollers and still not be "accurate" enough.

Hey Uncle Night Shift, i have some Hobby Boss 1:72 scale aircrafts, (made three out of the fours) and those need Mr.color paints, unfortunatly, I couldn't really find them since I live in France and those aren't really shiped everywhere, so my substitute were Revell Aqua colors and I think it did a great job as replacement paints.

Night Shift, I discovered your channel several weeks ago and so glad I did. I have picked up so many hints and tips which I have already used in a T34 85 build. One can read as many books as you want but to see the effects being used in a video just makes it so much easier. Your builds are four letter f ing brilliant. I love the fact that you are so humble regarding your talents and it is refreshing to hear a sense of humour when building.. Even though my chosen models relate to WW2, your channel has become the first thing I log onto on a Friday evening after work. I have no desire to build a BMR 3 but the effects you have used on this will be used on my current Sherman build. Absolutely love your modeling style!!!
