Let's Try Pre-Weathering With An Airbrush! 1/35 BMR-3M From Meng
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
My friends, tonight we're going to explore a different approach to painting and weathering. This method is very efficient and can save us tons of time while giving us a good idea about how the model is going to look once it's finished!

I received a lot of them a long time ago, even before I started this channel. VMS is also one of my Patreon supporters. Being independent from big and exclusive sponsorship deals and showing you a wide variety of different brands and products was one of the founding ideas of this channel and I will always stand by this.

Professional, but not rigid. Highly informative, but not pompous. Casual, and with a good sense of humour. I love watching your videos.

Diorama idea: the tank would hit a mine and an explosion would be cast in front of the vehicle

No, if make the diorama explosion , the radioactive armor is need to break

That's a pretty cool idea! The rollers and arms could have blackened char marks.

what about the mine exploded just before the diorama and you put an incense stick inside the diorama to make the mine hole freshly smoking ?

This is a certified hood classic
the semester ends today so i have no point to paying attention to school, id rather spend my time watching something useful like pre weathering
Awesome video!! Your assessment about mine-rollers looking like doo-doo while the vehicle that it is attached to looks in better shape is quite accurate. Having been around these things for almost 40 years (20 years in military and 20 years working on a military installation as a civilian employee) I do get to see these quite often. Most of the time the mine-rollers & mine-plows will be parked in some obscure corner of the vehicle parking area and FORGOTTEN about. There, they will accumulate an incredible amount of rust, dirt, leaks, and critter nests. Nobody really wants to deal with these things mainly because they are a pain in the butt to maintain, heavy as all get-outs, and a vehicle really cannot maneuver like it should when these things are attached, as well as other reasons. Besides the US Army mentality (at least when I was in 1981-2001) was just to blow through a minefield - you literally could NOT convince a tank unit that a mine-roller/plow will save lives/vehicles. Often times, it is looked down upon IF your vehicle is selected to have a mine-roller/plow attached, like the vehicle & crew suck or are expendable or something like that. In my opinion after being around mine-rollers/plows for so long, you were quite "generous" with the paint fading affect and mud. You probably could add about 10 tons of rust affects on those rollers and still not be "accurate" enough.
The best intro no loud music its not long and its no too collerfull its fantastisk

Night Shift*
I dont make or paint models, I'm not particularly interested in tanks, I love this channel!
I'm a airplanes builder and this technique is really nice, i want to construct my first tank but here in Argentina is very expensive, i love your work!!!!

It’s always a good day when night shift uploads
This video made me cry with joy.
This is the best modelling tutorial channel on KZread!!
This channel got me in to modeling
I absolutely love your channel! I have just been modeling for 6 months. And you are 👌
Uncle Night Shift...It is known as preshading - Great build...Always enjoy your videos
I know the video is old, but I recently have constructed the original version of BMR-3 and followed your case exactly here, and I have to say that it is the best model I ever made. You have made me so much better! Thanks!
Today, i got 90% on a french exam, and now night shift sends out a new video. Best reward ever!
really like the dust color on chipping fluid idea
I love Friday evening!!!
Thank you , Uncle Martin .
Your videos could end up being the same techniques and same ways of painting for each vehicle (which would still be awesome, it's great to watch you paint), but you end up finding new techniques almost every week and keeping it extra fresh. It's like we're following along with your modelling journey too. Keep up the great work Uncle!
I really like the idea of air brushing weathering effects instead of using 6 different products but your air brushing skills have to be top notch to pull it off.
Friday night top viewing as all ways, learning more with every build thanks as all ways.
Hey Uncle Night Shift, i have some Hobby Boss 1:72 scale aircrafts, (made three out of the fours) and those need Mr.color paints, unfortunatly, I couldn't really find them since I live in France and those aren't really shiped everywhere, so my substitute were Revell Aqua colors and I think it did a great job as replacement paints.
When I get the notification from this channle I know we are close to freedom!!! Love your work man!
My favorite part of Friday- new Uncle Night Shift video. 😊
oh I forgot its friday, thanks for the reminder
I just got my first airbrush, so I'm excited to try a bunch of the ideas I've seen on your videos. Thanks for sharing!

Practice practice and practice. It's a new skill and before long you will get the hang of it. I'm fairly new to airbrushing and can get frustrated with it but I'm getting better.
Great start to the weekend!
I call it bloody brilliant air brushing
*Ok ok your pre-weathering is ... a success! 👍*
Great work NS. Would love to see some mobile artillery in the future.
Great video!
Amazing! Very detailed!
I don't know if you'll read this, but I wanted to say thanks. I've picked up a paintbrush for the first time in over seven years because of how inspiring your videos are. Sure, I'm only doing wargames stuff. Sure I suck, but I've managed to re-kindle my love for something I'd forgotten about. Thank you Uncle NightShift, keep doing your thing. One note, if I may, the Wilder textured earth products are basically impossible to find at the moment, could you cover some other products/suggestions?
Very nicely done
Love the format uncle!
Already looking great!
Looking good. Eagerly wishing the days away to get to next Fridays offering
i dont even build models myself anymore but i sure still watch every video :)
This is amazing!
Great to see you experimenting with different approaches! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Awesome start, looks very good so far! And yeah, really enjoy that you are trying something different to see how it works. Saving time is also a good thing. So please keep doing stuff like this as I enjoy learning new things.
Like always a great video, thank you uncle , loved it Chipster
i love watching all your videos its very calming and just nice, sometimes i rewatch the older videos while cooking and it just relaxes me a whole lot
One of the few good things to come out of each week. I don't feel ready to face the day if I haven't watched the new video yet🤟
You are amazing at modeling and you make you videos really fun to watch and informative
Martin brings his mad skillz on every video. I'm sitting here just dumbstruck at how good these are painted - then shot and edited for all the Interwebs to enjoy. You're cool, dude. Very cool. My skills with my ( new ) Iwata Neo airbrush are years behind you.
Super načasovanie Maťko, podobnú motiváciu a návod som zrovna potreboval na Terminátora !
Underrated channel my friend.
You're an artist. [thumbs up]
Looks awesome love it your techniques are very helpful 👍👍👍
Fantastic technique I'll try these on my first tank project
This is already one of my favorite projects and its only the 2nd video!
Suprová robota . Už jsem zvědav na konec
God, every one of your videos makes me want to get back to painting my models. You do such an amazing job :)
always the best
I’m building planes mostly so all this techniques are bread and butter for plane scale modelling, few weeks ago I’ve started my first armour build the Ferdinand. I’ve found your channel and I’ve said to myself ok you need to forget what you’ve learn so far and use all this new techniques to o this build and now you telling me different? 😂😂😂 I’m joking of course because I’ve learned a lot from your videos and I can use this in anything I’ll build in the future! Thanks!
My honest opinion is 100,000/10 because it looks awesome so far and I can’t wait for the finished model 👍. And if you have a all time favourite horror movie can u tell us in your next video that would be awesome 🤙🤘
Ahhh yes, time to listen to my favourite teacher
I love how you steer clear from modulating with the airbrush and try different techniques. This is more like black basing for motteling aircraft, I love it, keep exploring uncle nightshift
Back in the day many armor modelers called these techniques Shadow Painting. Outstanding video! A++
You did not once mention that you’re not a very good airbrusher - really great to see this approach, and proof that your airskillz are impressive! Thank you for the upload -
Night Shift, I discovered your channel several weeks ago and so glad I did. I have picked up so many hints and tips which I have already used in a T34 85 build. One can read as many books as you want but to see the effects being used in a video just makes it so much easier. Your builds are four letter f ing brilliant. I love the fact that you are so humble regarding your talents and it is refreshing to hear a sense of humour when building.. Even though my chosen models relate to WW2, your channel has become the first thing I log onto on a Friday evening after work. I have no desire to build a BMR 3 but the effects you have used on this will be used on my current Sherman build. Absolutely love your modeling style!!!
spectacular technic and amazing effects. your work are amazing. Regards from Brazil
