You can totally do it! Just take it one step at a time and don’t stress about it. Remember with everything you can always go back and change it. So if you learn something later that you didn’t know if you can change it. If you change your mind about something you can change it. That gives you a lot more freedom just knowing that that is an option

Becca, so sorry about your dog :( Thank you so much for answering important questions of ours, I am wondering maybe you could answer sometime in your future video this question/topic, for TPT sellers who don't come from a traditional school background (small private school, homeschooling, or teaching in foreign country) could you please talk about some of the specific items teachers in traditional schools are looking for and need during the school year? Because when you say "end of the year products" or "back to school products", some of us don't exactly know what that means :) That would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for all of your amazing content!

I teach mostly physical science (9th grade) and am starting to make a teachers pay teachers store. My challenge is what format to put things in. Where is the balance between protecting your intellectual property versus making it user friendly for the buyer? For example a lot of elementary teachers on you tube recommend uploading PDF's so they can't be easily altered and resold. However I also know that every assignment I do is posted on my course webpage (password protected) and I know other high school teachers also are required to post assignments. A PDF is not editable by students which is again not user friendly. Also it seems like TPT only allows you to attach one file. So if I want to include additional info like answer keys and implementation guides then the teacher would have to snip out the student worksheet portion and make a new pdf. What are your recommendations?

Hi Becca! I know how to send emails, what to email, and set up email sequences, but there are things I don't understand. If you send your weekly newsletter every Monday and someone subscribes to you on Tuesday, do you resend that same email to new subscribers?

I typically don’t. I suppose that you could if you want to. I categorize my emails into two separate buckets in my brain. Some of them are weekly and if someone is not subscribed and they just don’t get those. I do sometimes save them in a Google Docs so that I can come back and add them later. Because sometimes it’s very lengthy or detailed and so I just want to keep it and I might send it out after a year or two has passed. Then I have the ones that are sequences. When someone signs up for a sequence then they automatically get all of those emails.

Hi Becca, or anyone, can I use parts of those free templates on Canva in my cover pages for my teachers pay teachers products?

Hi Becca, I would really love to start pinning some of my products. I also would like to start a blog but I’m just not ready yet. Is it OK to send people to my TpT store from Pinterest? Or would it be better just to wait until I have my blog going? I only have about seven products in my shop and I’m focusing on that mostly.

You can definitely send people to TpT from Pinterest! If you don’t have a blog I would definitely recommend that. You’ll still get traffic to your TpT shop. That being said Pinterest does prefer your actual blog so I would still do that eventually but in the meantime this is a great way to get some traffic to your store

I do like your video, but man you are long winded. I keep waiting for you to get to the point of one idea and then you move to the next one before ever getting to the point.
