I’m 40k into drafting book 2 of my YA fantasy romance duology. It’s a Little Red Riding Hood retelling and also follows the fake dating trope.

I have that fear with videos 😭 that I’ll accidentally delete everything before I upload it. I’m finally getting back into *everything* after taking a very long break, but my WIP is….. going. That’s probably the best way to describe it 😅 The discipline is the *hardest* part of freelancing. But I feel like procrastinators are actually suited best for it. We can get things done *well* in a pinch. We just have to pretend our deadlines are much closer than they are.

I'm going to start chapter 21 of my book!

Editing my debut! 18% through it right now and using your strategy of reading it on my phone to add notes and highlight passages for teasers 😍 oh and it’s contemporary romance

I'm just about to start two new projects and excited about them both. Taking a break is not a bad thing, gotta look after yourself!

Thanks for the update! And oof, I hate it when I accidentally delete stuff. It's no fun. As for projects I am working on, my historical fiction is in the middle of dev edits but it sorta on hold atm. I have completely shifted gears to dabble in Christian Scifi Comedy, so it's been really fun to just write goofy banter, ridiculous scenarios, and interesting topics in space, haha. I'm writing it by hand at the moment which is a whole other ball park than what I'm used to.

oh sarah---don't worry. it gets a lot better once the summer kicks in, just you wait. until then, maybe you need the rest. i understand the tug of war when working for yourself; i can take a break when and for however long i want. but maybe there's something to the idea that taking too long a break feels unproductive. maybe try doing just an hour of work in the midst of the kdrama will help you feel better. just a thought...love the video!!

Thank you for talking about lack of motivation! I'm the same way. 🫣 I'm trying to get better at it but it's so hard. I'm currently editing my debut novel, which is a YA contemporary romance. 😊 I really want to get another set of eyes on it because the book is almost done and that's freaking me out. 😅

I understand the needing another pair of eyes (pick me, pick me). Sometimes I need someone to explain my brain to me. Oh the writing buddies are so needed. My WIPs are crazy, I'm launching a book, editing a book, and drafting a book. 3 books what's wrong with me? PS I mess up my vlogs all the time. I really like your human side.

I agree about Are You Human Too. I was definitely way more invested in the romance than the company stuff lol but I also love anything Seo Kang Joon is in 😊 You’re going through Kdramas so quickly! Lol what are you planning to watch next? For my WIP, I’m outlining for draft 2 of my supernatural romance thriller (but it’s taking forever because of life 😅)

I am on page 106 out of 181 on my editing. It's taking forever because I am rewriting my work while I am editing. I still need an editor and only had one beta reader so far. I am hoping I can find an editor soon after I am done editing. x.x

There are definitely times when things sort of drag! I like watching netlfix on my phone because then I can put it on a faster playback speed!😉

I'm currently working on an enemies to lovers but I'm stuck in the beginning, I feel like I have no idea how to put thoughts and emotions on paper, it's just a bunch of dialogue that I'm not enjoying at all🥹🫠
