Definitely! I hope it does help prepare some people for some of these things in life… which may be common sense but sometimes someone needs to point them out!

Friend, one thing about your South Africans Abroad series? Definitely has motivated me to make moving from this country even if it's for a year on my 5 year plan and I really appreciate this video. Really helping me prepare emotionally for it. 💛💛

@@Precimolobye The points regarding community and communication were good reminders. I have an iPhone and don’t exactly like video calls.. so my friends tend to stick to texts/calls above all else. I do plan to move countries away at some point, so I should be more grateful and use all the features more often, because when it’s my turn to move countries away.. it will really test me if I wasn’t already embracing the technology before. Like, I hardly even use gifs, and I should because it’s a free function of the OS! Also, “Moving won’t solve your problems” I second that fully

@@jackson7922 I’m absolutely delighted to hear that you’ll start using GIFs when speaking with your friends! Yess! My job has been accomplished 😂😂😂⭐️
In the next video, can you please talk about living abroad with children🙏🏽. From your observation or maybe even bring someone in the collaboration to give insight on challenges to expect. I've applied only to turn down a few offers because of anxiety of moving with/without my son🤦🏽♀️

Hey Esther! Great suggestion, thanks. Do you mean specifically moving to Japan or anywhere is fine?

@@Precimolobye I don't suppose moving with JET would be an option since they're target single youngsters 🤷🏽♀️ Anywhere is fine, just to see that it's possible 🤞🏻

@@estherseanego actually there are many people who move or apply to JET with their families and partners. You just have to specify if you have dependents

@@PrecimolobyeOMG this comment changed my whole life, I applied for the JET program 2 years ago and I didn't make it, I thought I was screwed for good since I got my first child last year! 😂 Oh wow thanks, the more the merrier I guess? 😂 Just out of curiosity, did you get it right the first time? The JET application I mean...

I’m happy to hear you’ve watched the other videos 🙏🏽🥹. From what I’ve seen, they seem very similar, although in SK “hagwons” are popular, in Japan normal public schools are popular, with some “eikawas”/ private classes in the mix. But the concept is the same!
Precious though I notice you have never done a day in the life of an English teacher in Japan..whats it like in class?
@Precimolobye
Жыл бұрын
That’s an interesting idea! I’ll see if it’s possible to do… you have a co-teacher in class and you guys run the lesson together or alternate (you do the English part and the other teacher does the Japanese part)
So ke Soweto sis, life after JET?

Many people return to their home countries, some move on while others choose to live in Japan long term.
