The actual Nintendogs games by Nintendo also had Agility trials which were later replaced by Lure coursing & Obedience trials which made use of the 3DS microphone which was also used to help teach your pet(s) various tricks. For better or worse the switch doesnt have a microphone & the camera in the 3DS was also used to give your pet(s) a means to know when you were playing as opposed to putting the handheld down. These features added a bit of depth to the games.

The appeal is that you can get away giving your kid this instead of an actual pet for another year or two 😂

Well, when I was a kid I also thought of dogs as male and cats as female. I read somewhere an explanation of why that happens, but have since forgotten about it. It seems it's pretty common, though.

It's good to be curious. It's also good when you are a JRPG enthusiast, curious, and then you came across this. Seeing this being done with the Nekopara or Senran Kagura characters might get me interested. This also reminds me of your Senran Kagura: Reflexions review. (I stayed away from that game because of you by the way.)

That's actually kind of an amazing idea and I'm surprised that's not already a thing. Then again, it very well could be and we just never got it outside Japan.

for me it wont level it up.. everytime I do those task that needs Does anyone know?

Little Friends is actually not a good idea of what those games were and is missing that "appeal", so I would recommend playing the real Nintendogs or Nintendogs+cats. Little Friends is no where near as good as them. The pets in Little Friends don't even interact or are aware of each other in the same room. Nintendogs lets you meet people on walks and their dogs, go to the park or cafe, train for different competitions, teach tricks with voice commands for obedience trials, give them baths, you discover items on walks and so much more. Dogs and cats will know they're in the same room and it's fun to watch how they interact with each other. The cats in Nintendogs+cats will even bring back gifts if you wait long enough! The graphics in Nintendogs+cats are also way more life-like than in Little Friends, where the pets dont look very alive, to be honest. The appeal to Nintendogs is how there's actually stuff to do and it really feels like you're taking care of living, breathing dogs and cats, not just stiff, mainly lifeless, weirder-looking animals.
