Early last year Jenni spoke at my TMQG meeting. I just knew immediately that I had to have her on the show. Her book is full of history, detail and patterns and I had to know more. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did.

I will be looking for this book at Chapters! I have several Liberty Books, related to Interior Design and their "Soft Fabric" range for Draperies, cushions, and reupholstery, etc, and facinated with with the delacacy of these fine fabrics. The You Tube tours of the Liberty shops in London are amazing - so much to see, and the displays are very intricate. Even after retireing from this field, Liberty Fabrics still hold fond memories for me.

I thought Jenni was delightful and that this was one of the best interviews you've done. I do love this series, not only because I learn new things, but because I never know where you are going next. Thank you!!

Love this interview !! Will look for this book. Now I am very curious about the Bronte research. How do we find out more? Keep up the good work, Karen !!
I couldn't get enough. I felt like this could be double and I would still be listening to every word! (and zero calories, how could it get better?)
I wouldn’t miss ur interviews for any reason. Amazing, I feel so locked down with the virus, my age & health problems, U have connected me to a world that I didn’t know existed. Thank u so much.

Thank you for watching Rose and Happy Christmas!
Thanks for a lovely interview Karen. Would have been nice to see some fabrics and quilts too ,to understand the value of the history of Liberty.💛🇦🇺
LOL. I lived down the street on Silver Birch and took classes at the Quilter's Garden. I miss that store and those lovely ladies. Urban quilt stores are few and far between in Toronto.
I want Jenni’s book! Thank you, Karen. Awesome interview!

I have a big love for Liberty fabrics, the silky feel, the florals and the colours combinations. A dream would be to go to a fabric store full of Liberty. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
Loved watching this! Nice to put a voice to Jenni! 😊
I LOVE the fact that these old companies have an archive. WHAT A TREASURE! How you keep a clear head about what fabrics to use and what patterns, I will never know. Good Interview!

Thank you and good luck on your quilting journey!
Love this episode, she is amazing.
I was able to replicate a quilt from In The Beginning book with the exact same Liberty fabric! It is beautiful!
The International Quilt Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, would probably love to exhibit your quilts, Jenni. Ken Burns did one a few years ago. Next month is my birthday and am putting your book on my wish list for sure. Liberty fabrics are #1 in my favorites list. My residence is in Nebraska.

That would be a dream Beverly!! I would love to visit that museum- they bring quilts to Festival of Quilts in the UK each year and they are always stunning! I’ll pop round for a cup of tea if I do visit.
Great interview! Liberty fabric seems very precious. It would be a dream to be able to have a quilt made with Liberty.

How wonderful!
I must be a dabbler, I'm always up for anything new.🇦🇺💜🥰💯👍
What an inspiring chat , I loved it , thank you Karen .
And yes, we don't have a huge choice of fabric for quilting in the UK, it's a shame! And when they arrive from the US, the shops tend to bring a small amount that sells out in a day. It's very frustrating, I am envious of the choice, amount, easy access and prices that a quilter has in the US, it baffles me as Yorkshire had a lot of fabric mills back in the day ❤
I love how your hair is cut, Karen.
I did not know that Liberty Fabrics was 145 years old. Wonderful.
My most beloved duvet is a Liberty of London pattern. It's my favorite purchased bedding. Very interested to read Jenni's book.

Was so lucky to spend a couple hours at Liberty in London buying fabric several years ago. I used the fabrics for my son and daughter in law’s wedding quilt. Loved the process of using cotton lawns. Found a roller foot was essential. Remember the whole thing fondly! Thanks for this interview.

Truly a wonderful interview. Thank you 😊
Thank you for sharing this interview.
I got my hands on a couple pieces of Liberty quilting fabric but I haven’t gotten to the point where I can cut them up yet, too busy just enjoying pulling them out of the stash and loving on them. One day I will be brave enough.

I was hoping to see a collection of Liberty fabrics shown in the video, with a sample quilt or two to see what it's all about.

Thank you for todays interview have a quilting friend who just loves Liberty fabrics and makes so many gifts from them. Love and blessings from Berri, Riverland, South Australia.💞
Greetings from Germany! O happened to be able to visit the Liberty shop several times already while spending a few days in London. It is always a pleasure, although the prices there for anything are hefty! Once I actually bought a few pieces of fabric, never to be used since then because of thinking it is "too precious" 🙈 I also bought a package of Liberty scraps... BEWARE! They are less than rubbish, not worth anything... the tiniest pieces, smaller than a fingernail! The package could not be opened beforehand, I could not see what I bought, had to trust the Company. What a waste of money and the absolute disappointment.
So interesting. Now to find her book. Thanks

Hello from Michigan, the Great Lakes State! For sure US has a lot of quilt shops. My 3 grown children that live in different, I feel compelled to research how close the quilt shops are from where they live.
Was thinking that maybe the Liberty factory would put the quilts in their offices? My classes make quilts that have been given out to different offices on campus, and people love them.

No but I will have a read now - thank you 🙏
I was introduced to Liberty Prints about 40 years ago; a beautiful store at Cloverdale Mall in West End Toronto. They also had amazing German wools, so I made two Liberty blouses and two wool skirts to match for work. It was so spectacular! I am now more into quilting as I'm retired. I gave the blouses away (and skirts) years ago and 30 pounds ago. I am into crumb (scrap) quilts and some of those small bits of Liberty have found their way into these quilts - and I'm sure there are more Liberty pieces around here! Thank you so much!!!

Hi Carol, how are you doing?
Hello from Billings Mt.
Loved the talk with Jenni, years ago I made my first daughter a blouse with a gorgeous Liberty, burgundy based, fabric with a sprig design, I loved the feel and handling of the fabric and it paired so well with a black velvet pinnafor dress I made for her, I would love to know why Liberty cottons feel so much finer and softer than other cottons. Karen please tell me the quilt behind you is available as a pattern, I kept looking at it during the chat (reluctant to say distracted by) :-)
