In the 90’s they had a limited series called Strife Strike files, each page was about a mutant that Strife had a file on and Beast’s file basically says, “I wonder which Beast I am looking upon, the genius gentle giant scientist or the maniacal murderous killer?” Strife was from the future so he would of known Beast would go bad but he wasn’t sure if that happened yet. That was written 30 years ago.

I think that the chonicler is still trying to help in more sutle way like when he wrote 'His deception should be badly visible for all these Omegas and schemers to see, but none do' I think with this wording maybe non-Omegas and schemes could feel something was off like nightcrawler or even sage

If Xavier pretty much told Sage not to go after Beast, that explains how the solicits are implying Wolverine's going to be exiled.

Take note that more of Threnody will be happening on the Wolverine comics side of things. Also, what happened to Quentin Quire being in a time stasis, felt eerily similar to what happened to Mary Jane in the Zeb Wells run of Spider-Man comics, as well as Synch and Talon in the Jonathan Hickman run of X-Men. They all became older and had different experiences.

How is Threnody even an argument while Sins of Sinister is going on and Sinister was allowed on the Council?

Damn beast really has a dark side that I never knew of.

Sage should have started out in the role as the secret antagonist and Beast should have come out on top as the hero. I was never a fan of this recent depiction of him. The stories have not been horrible but they still didn't make me care for his characterization. And I haven't since he brought the original 5 from the past to the future. We will see how well Sage does with more spotlight.

At this rate, if Marvel ever gets around to doing Uncanny Thunderbolts (Thunderbolts being a team comprised of villains), Hank “Plausible deniability/By Any Means Necessary” McCoy would fit right in sending that team (comprised of criminals Mutant and otherwise) on missions to “earn redemption”

But the overseer is... colossus! Ruh-oh!

@@sawtooth808 I haven't watched breaking bad yet, but I'm willing to bet the comparison doesn't apply, because whatever changes that character made in their persona actually made sense given the situation and context. The changes to Beast that have been made do not make sense, do not follow with the situation, and are written badly. The bs response the cgz is putting forward flies in the face of what the character of Beast is about. It's basically libel of a fictional character.

Is there a reason you pronounce it “trenody”? Google pronunciation goes with a strong “Th” and says Threnody. It is defined as a lamentation for the dead, so they are talking about the same word. I know sometimes spelling gets changed like Havok causes havoc or Siryn is like a siren. But I am struggling to understand why you pronounce Threnody as Trenody. Please help me understand.

Claim to be morally superior to humans and fail miserably when the moment came to prove it. Wolverine delivered a piece of harsh reality to their fantasy island, their isolation where they are free to pretend to be perfect, which is no doubt why Wolverine didn't waste time with them and was proven right when some of them try to make Beast seem like a hero. Let's not forget that Emma once tried to go "Friends of Humanity" on the Inhumans, even after they made a great sacrifice to save mutantkind, and blew up a ship of Inhumans. Beast simply believed that a war with the Inhumans would cause more problems then solve them and he was right and it was Emma who tricked the mutants when it was thought that Black Bolt killed Cyclops.

Storm mistreated Beast at least since IvX. Beast tried to stop a race war and she electrocuted him.

I need some Nate Grey to enter the the Xbooks. And no, not "hippie mutant Xman." Side note: has Nightcrawler returned to his normal state of mutation?

Especially a story like the ongoing moral degradation of beast calls for a slow burn.

This is a garbage take to say Beast chose Inhumans over X-Men. If that were the case he never would have told the X-Men what was happening. This is like saying Beast "betrayed" the X-Men by doing Avengers even though he left the Avengers for being loyal to the X-Men. People really need to stop jumping on the Beast hate bandwagon just because writers hate Beast. Even if they were actively trying to make Beast a villain (which I don't think that's happening, it's taking the actions of more marketable X-Men who have done the same thing and chastising the actions), it still isn't being done tastefully or sensibly. None of it is compelling or believable.

...... shouldn't she be locked up for the stuff she pulled. Not much....not any better than beast.

The real question is can the writers stop being woke?
