I remember watching this when I was really young and loving it. It wasn't very often you'd see a movie based around a game like this and I thought that it was awesome.

Found this post. Thank you for taking the time to review. I had completely forgotten about this film but loved it as a kid born in ‘77. I lived in Austin and made my parents take me to San Antonio botanical gardens so I could walk through scenes from the movie 👍

That’s awesome! I enjoyed watching it again, and glad it’s in the collection! I’ve been to many of the places shown in the film (with pictures) without even thinking about it!

I love getting new information on older movies. I am really digging the retro review idea. Thanks for the video on what to watch out for in 2024. Hopefully, we can catch some more classic movies being reviewed by you. Hitchcock?

Well, you never know - I’m just shifting a bit, trying to focus on things I really want to talk about. Hitchcock movies are great and could definitely be something I’d want to talk about in the future!

Honestly though, to be totally honest, I had never _EVEN_ heard of the movie or the game before this education you have delivered into my life via the magic of KZread.

Honestly? Wow…it was on all the time here as a kid! A cable classic?

Still one of my favorite movies. It's an anomaly, a kid-friendly suspense thriller. Michael Murphy's monologue when facing Henry Thomas on the River Walk was chilling as hell! I also bought Atari 50 (PS4) just so I can play the game again; it still holds up!

It’s so funny - I’ve been to SA so many times in my adult life and never really thought about C&D at all, especially strange considering how many times I watched that as a kid!
