My tears started falling along when all that beautiful live edge and bark started hitting the floor. I'm not the worlds greatest epoxy fan, but to me that slab was just begging for a visible scene in the middle, and an epoxy top coat, that covered the edges as well, to hold and protect the bark. That being said, what we all just saw was a demonstration of skill, and imagination, carried out with the most basic hand tools imaginable. The "Guy" is an accomplished craftsman and artist to say the very least.

suppose it also depends if yo are the owner of the workshop or if you are an employee and have to do what your boss tells you. OR if this was an ordered and request from a client. And then the boss and the workers have to do what the client wants.

Interesting approach. He has taken basic scraps or firewood and created a really nice piece. The fella has as we say "The Hands " and a great imagination for sure. I really like how he has left some of the flaws in that make the piece mor organic as some pieces are needing. See that smile near the end ? He should have one as this is an awesome creation coming from a pile of firewood. Like I said before, , , just AWESOME! ! !
Undoubtedly, definitely, a unique, unprecedented, unparalleled, masterpiece created by a talented, highly skillful artist master craftsman. Thanks

The reason why they have adjustable guides is so it can be lowered closer to your work, and thus preventing blade wandering, such as what I was watching. Your guide needs to be down closer to the work to be able to control the blade more readily. Just my observation, from one cabinetmaker to another....
You are really a skilled wood worker. I enjoy watching you do your creations
