Honestly not missing much you spend your youth building a life with a person, they change and lose onteest on the relationship and leave. Even though you finically supported them, emotionally supported them and their family, helped thier little brother in school, work with them and thier alcoholism, maintain the physical living quarters, and everything else you do for people you love. You end up 5-10 years older with no passion and no goals in life like you had before the relationship instead of being 19 you are now 27 trying to find your place in the world. They left everything for you to take care of including pets and potentially kids. Having family sucks, because once you get it you can never go back to the person you were before.

That doesn't mean I don't/can't love new people as much/more, but I'm a different person and my love is different now. I've never had that perspective before, so thanks. I think we ought to learn how to identify healthy traits we need in loved one. Also maybe I'm attracted to a type that doesn't give me that, so God forbid, those loves did not end. I'm glad I've grown enough to see why, even though I may never love/feel how I did in that relationship.
