Hey Broads!! I also got to see most of these shows as part of the BroadwaySF Season! My Bust to Best is: Bust: 6. Mean Girls - the show was so fun and iconic, but some of these other shows were just insane 5. Les Mis - I absolutely adorreeedddd Nick Cartell's Jean Valjean though - his voice is so special and amazing, and his "Bring Him Home" really deserved a standing ovation 4. Come From Away - such a powerful story that made me tear up, with an amazing ensemble cast 3. Tina - I saw Tina with both the principle Tinas, Naomi Rodgers and Zurin Villanueva - they absolutely brought the house down both times - their voices were so powerful and the energy coursing thorough the theater made it such a special show! Also, shoutout to your bestie *Allison* at the Tina merch booth who was even kind enough to give me a special playbill sticker for the show! I heard y'all even went to see Soul Train together the next day! 2. Dear Evan Hansen - I've never cried so much during a show! I honestly and unfortunately connected to some of the tense parts of the show, with anxiety (You Will Be Found hit hard), family tensions (Good for You and the scenes with Evan and his mom), and feeling alone (I fell apart by the time Words Fail came around), and overall the story was told so well and the music was so powerful. I love this show so much and crying honestly felt so good :'). Best: 1. SIX!!!! - AAAAA Ok, Six holds such a special place in my heart - it carried me through the Covid years at home and was immediately the first show I rushed to see when I had my first New York trip after lockdown. Also, I made it to the Broadway Broads' show with y'all and the talkback afterwards! Meeting you, Jen and Sara, as well as so many of the amazing Broadway Broad Squad members and the events before and after the show made that day absolutely unforgettable!! Of course, the vocals, costumes, lighting and everything make the show one of my absolute favorites!! Hope to see you guys at some more future shows here in SF!! -Eric

Here's my list for 2023 so far. I have season tickets to Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham, NC - seeing Wicked (again) in a few weeks! I"m also planning a trip to NYC in October so I'm excited to see a few shows there. 1- Jagged Little Pill 2- Tina 3 - Six 4 - Moulin Rouge 5- 1776 I would see Mean Girls again. I feel like I didn't love it when I first saw it but the soundtrack has grown on me :) Come From Away was the biggest surprise show for me. I was expecting it to be kind of dark/sad and loved how uplifting it is! Would love to see it again at some point. I find it a little interesting that San Francisco is a "season behind" on shows from what I can tell, compared to the shows we have gotten? I don't know how they decide these things, it would be interesting to know! :)

We truly believe you had to be there for the OBC of Mean Girls. That being said the pregnant pause when you rank the show was hilarious. We are dying to see a production of Fiddler. We somehow managed to miss the latest ones that were playing here. We legit were planning to watch it in Yiddish! Can't wait for the fall for you guys' upcoming binge.

So I have seen three of them!! My placement would be: Bust : 3: Six (Love the show, but did not have as much as I was expecting.) 2. Fiddler On The Roof! (The evening I saw it, everything was stellar! The scene changes, dancing, LIGHTING!! There was a lot to offer! I have also been in the show as one of the young boys at the end! But I liked the Fruma Sarah scene. It added a twist and showed the added update of the scene. Gave it creepy vibes!) Best: 1. Dear Evan Hansen:( I cried during this show. The message from it hit a spot in me! I am living with divorced parents and really felt like Evan! The music awwww, so good!) All the shows were amazing it’s just hard to rate them!

For the turn table in Les Mis they had the turn table at Kennedy center I think they use turn table if the venues have it . My friend was on the tour and said they couldn’t travel with the turn table so they used it when theatres have it . It’s a lot easier !!

I don’t think this particular tour uses it at all - from what I remember they travel the entire stage floor (in the photo, you can see that the stage is raised up quite a bit) so they wouldn’t really be able to use the turntable only if a venue has one. Most venues actually don’t have them - most of these theaters are pretty much a big empty space with rigging points and a fly system when shows arrive.

@@ComputerGeek1100 when they came to National they did and Kennedy center. One of my friends and student is on this tour they said they have used it at certain venues that have it but not all because it’s hard to travel with. I love the turn tables it’s one of my favorites in the show !!

When I went I got to meet Nick Cartel and Josh Davis who played Javert at the time … they both were going to Starbucks across the street and they were like “ after singing for 3 hours we are gonna get a large frapp from Starbucks !” You would think having to do a score like that dairy wouldn’t be good !! But they said Starbucks frapp is what gets them through performing Les Mis !! And that having cheat moments is acceptable 😅
