Let's Play Outer Wilds For The Very First Time!

Hey everyone! Today my curiosity has finally gotten the better of me! Outer Wilds is a game that so many people seem to have love for but they've always been cagey with telling me why so I figured I'd find out for myself.
I don't know what I was expecting but it definitely wasn't a game loop and a space mystery! I'm looking forward to finding out some more so please let me know if you'd wanna see that!

Lock on may be bugged. It is known to happen. Restarting may fix it. It definitely helps flying and moving around since then you can see your relative speed to your target.

If you are playing on a PC the lock on function can be buggy (I think it is a Steam problem), otherwise it should not happen on Playstation and you may have had your left and right sticks mixed up as I saw you turning on the light (R3) when flying to brittle hollow. If you are on PC then I have heard that clicking a mouse button will fix it, otherwise restarting the game or reconnecting the controller should help. Lock-on is very important to help you fly the ship. Although possible without it is much harder and needs gentler control of the thrusters. Check your options too as some settings could help with frame-rate issues. Also the pre-flight checklist (next to the suit) has a few useful settings. Can I suggest you don't cut out parts. These might seem uninteresting at the time but there may be hints at something and would be good to know if you have seen it, and avoid commenters accidentally spoiling something assuming you did. It's fine if that is your style but I don't think anyone would complain if it is mostly un-edited and longer than normal.

I think at one point I was clicking all the buttons to see if it would work. A couple of people have mentioned it may be a bug so I'm hoping that when I record again, it will be ok! The only parts I've cut out have been when there's no dialogue or anything or if I'm going back from somewhere I've already been. I'll see if I can maybe speed these sections up rather than cut them completely in the next one 😊
