Funny, looking at what it said when you leveled up, how the character was living as if in a dream, and feels awakened after the first level of trials, really makes me think of CHIM, the dreamer, and the relation of the character to the game. I always liked Oblivion's level descriptions, but this just struck me a little deeper than before.

Fantastic second episode of the series. Love the ending with the wizard shop at the end, those skulls are definitely from people asking to see the manager. Looking forward to the next episode. Keep up the good work.

Oh man this makes me want to reinstall Oblivion again
For me this is the first time I've watched someone do a strict role play of Oblivion, and while (as you forewarned) the story is progressing slowly, I'm strangely fascinated to just watch your character act as themselves, in their own time. Keep up the good work :)

Love this series!
I wasn't sure at first, but now I'm certain that there is some music from Baldur's Gate in here. Pleasant surprise. Sweet relaxing playthrough thus far as well.
Is that Witcher 1 music I hear? Great video, Dave, keep them coming!
I've been playing daggerfall a lot recently and I like hearing the music from it in the background
Dave, if at some point you do decide to go to the Shivering Isles I would suggest that you download one of the mods that overhaul it to make it similar to Oscuro's main mod. Either way, looking forward to the rest of this let's play!
Nice recording always wach all your videos
loving the character
You an Kiko are the top 2 LPers on YT. ❤️
I remember in this game putting off the main quest is actually a good idea. I remember actually finding places that I could have explored (or did explore earlier) became inaccessible once oblivion gates start popping up. I think it was only one or two, but that really got me thinking if there were other things I missed because I went for the main quest.
The encounter with the Master Wizard was the most amusing so far.
I love You sorcerer Dave, you're awsome and a very imaginative person :)
Wait, if Arthur was in High Rock during the Warp... there's infintite numbers of him in the Dragon Break! HOLY CHIMMM
Omg i love this!
God I forgot how good Oblivion can be, the problems in this game to me were the enemy scaling with you and that if you go and turn the amulet to Martin all the oblivion gates get turned on, much like how anoying random dragons in skyrim can be, there are to many gates that sometimes ruin an awsome adventure.
@lanceuppercut6168
6 жыл бұрын
Yesss, scaling is one of the worst things as far as any game goes. It's broken many a game for me, which is a shame really because other than that many games would've been that much greater.
@el00morro00

Deadric full armor random bandits for the win lol, not to mention that if you took some social skills as your major ones in this game such as mercantile they will usually destroy you sooner or later, wich is sad and I know they did it since veterans of the series will know how to cheat the system with broken enchantments and custom spells or the like but in Oblivion it almost feels necesary to do so.

I personally preferred the oblivion gates over the dragons. Shutting the gates would sometimes give you a badass spell enhancement which could be of great benefit on a sword, bow, or armor. And after it's shut, the wilderness goes back to normal.
I strongly approve the music from the witcher series!
When you do alchemy you should name the potion something that makes sense from an RP perspective, like if you mix a strawberry and grapes you could make fruit punch or something.
Love that ending XD
The docks are giving me Zog flashbacks
it wasnt till the Khajiit did i finally understood how he figured what the person liked/disliked. the facial movements on the other races werent enough to catch my eye apparently
Smart move not robbing the wizard at the end. The man had black soul gems, definitely he would have fucked up your level 2 character no problem ;)
Dave, you're spoiling us!!
Waterfront sure is a lot more interesting with these mods!
I kinda like the immersive mods especially eating food and drinking, I just feel it makes the whole role playing thing much more realistic.
I know you might already know of this but might I recommend the thieves Arsenal mod, essentially it adds more depth to stealth gameplay by giving you tools much like in Thief the game, like giving you a blackjack to knock people unconscious while they sleep. Not meaning to backseat game or anything, you do an incredible job in all of your let’s plays I just thought I would throw the suggestion out there. Keep up the good work

How insanely difficult is it not to just beeline to Vilverin?! I think I've done that on every new game I've ever started lol
34 mins of waiting for the "how's my gold" revelation to occur, was like waiting for the punchline to arrive :)
That music in the background is used in Crusader Kings II as well
Yay, today is a great day.
Given the name, I'd love it if there was somehow a way to make a Monty Python reference every video. Doesn't have to be a different reference, but it would be fun to see how long it would last ;)

I don't know if this is true with your mods but don't the ingredients of the first potion of a type you make set the weight of all potions of that type?
A note on the speechcraft minigame: Instead of shooting to get the biggest bar on the things they like, I always make sure I put the smallest bar on the things they don't like.
Nice

Fatigue determines how much damage you do with melee attacks and some other hidden things, like how in Morrowind fatigue influenced everything you did by 50%, you do half damage at 0 fatigue, so fatigue potions are actually really good.

Wow. I have played Skyrim, but not any of the other Elder Scrolls game. So many great features I see here in Oblivion, I wonder why they ever removed them. I also like having a strength stat, there's no basic ability scores in Skyrim and I never understood that ...this makes me want to try Oblivion! I have tons of mods for Skyrim but it took a long time to figure out how to get it all working right, I hope modding with Oblivion is easier

It might be worth taking a look at Speechcraft Enhanced, just to simplify Speechcraft nonsense. It makes it so that you gain a tiny bit of Speechcraft XP whenever you talk to NPCs and pick new dialogue options. You can still use the minigame and everything, it just speeds up levelling a little. Of course, if you're alright with the minigame abstraction, or are worried about weird levelling balance stuff (I haven't looked at your mod list closely yet), that's fine too.
Интересный отыгрышь роли ⚡🐱👤⚡
So Dave, looking forward to people badgering you about MOAR OBLIVION on your other series from now till the end of this let's play?
Yeah, the stuff around 2 minutes in is why I eventually gave up on stuff like Realistic Needs over in Skyrimland, because it felt like yon typical 'watch your bars or else terrible things happen' form of survival game metric. Mind this is partly my complaint for sleep to levelup in Oblivion too, but I guess that's less an intrusive then 'you better stuff a crapton of bread into your maw or you'll get knackered.'
That CK2 music.
"Just because I'm covered in sewer filth doesn't mean you have to be a jerk about it..."
SorcererDave, A small question if I may. Many may have asked but will there be a music list implemented in the description of your videos? Some music tracks I have heard so many times and they are so soothing and remarkable. If you can it would be awesome!
Fathis will always be my fav though
Fun fact, that first ruin is part of a side quest I have yet to complete. And wow what a ship, I need to but the DLC. >_> Um I assume your mods added random things to the water front? Ah a new NPC with new, but non recorded lines? Norn looks half Dark Elf.

I think some of the music that was in this video was in baldurs gate
Hector, owner of the TentIS
Is that witcher 1/2 music playing sometimes O.o if so, nice touch :)
Witcher EE music.
Out of curiosity, how did you choose the music to use? I'm pretty sure I heard CKII and BGII music in there.
