Carley's clue with Cut, Peel, and Shave has gotta be the best clues to sound the same but mean different things for Surgery, Carrot, and Leg. Especially better cause the only word the other team knows is Blue.

My ability to forget the words almost immediately after they were put on screen is either due to sleep deprivation or an incredible commitment to the game

I find the changing group dynamics based on who is at the table really fascinating.

"Who will pass the Turing test, and who will succumb to Edward Nygma?" Wow. That's a historical computer science reference mixed in with a Batman reference, and it was smooth. Standing ovation for that one! 👏 Tilly, Earthworm Jim was a great classic series, and you have great taste. I don't know, Adam; I can't possibly imagine anything more entertaining than watching you lose your entire mind playing Monopoly. You'll have to come up with an extremely clever replacement to top it 🤔

This series has been a real bright spot throughout this year.

The reveal that Party Security Boy has one thousand legs really hit me like a blow to the gut

This series has actually the best playthroughs of boardgaming I witnessed since the TableTop years. Great editing, great sound and chemistry. Watching playthroughts gets boring after a while but you manage to keep it fun and interesting the whole length.

I feel compelled to point out that Adam's resolution was to win more games than he lost, which he definitely failed to do.

Genuinely just laughed out loud on a train for a full minute over the *sexy legend pose* bit, absolutely incredible

Just wanted to say that I found the channel totally by chance a couple days ago whilst off with covid and have been entertaining myself almost solely by blitzing through board game club, easily become one of my favourite channels basically overnight!

I’m still just shock Adam got to 22 without having to do a rock paper scissors episode cause the man REALLY didn’t want to play monopoly 😂🤣😂

Same-ish, as, for suspense purposes, it would have been the last episode of the year, so I was partly expecting something in a few weeks here. Actually, is there a rock, paper, scissors board game?

*Sexy Legends* is a teamup I never knew I needed in my entire life. 🥋👏

Something deep inside me was screaming that Dom needed to roll at the start anyway and get a four. You guys were SO close to a full set and it's maddening.

I have never commented on a youtube video before but I feel compelled to after this lovely video. The last few years have been very dark times for me as for a lot of people. I used to play board games with my friends in London every week and it was an essential part of my life but due to COVID I have been trapped overseas for 3 years and have not been able to play with them. I have suffered from isolation and depression as a result but this channel has really helped me get through it. Instead of playing with my friends every week, instead each week thanks to you I got to watch a video full of banter and injokes and people making crazy plays “for the bit” just like my games at home used to be. Funny and competitive but with a pleasant friendly core as the essence of boardgaming and life should be. I am finally heading home next week and I simply want to thank everyone involved for your channel which really helped me, and I’m sure many others, through some difficult times- it seems silly to say for a youtube channel but you did make a difference in my life. I will be sure to visit Draughts in tribute when I arrive.

Why would you want to watch someone play something they truly aren't enjoying? Do you realize how horrible of a stream that would be? Also, Monopoly alone is nearly as terrible to watch as it is to play.

@@AmariieMaerthos normally I would have to agree with you that people shouldn't play something that they dislike. The problem I have is that they went full on with the production of the bet with the chalk board and then later when they realized he wasn't going to make the rules got changed and they started counting every game instead of the last one. If it was just Adam making his New Year's Resolution and they left it at that I wouldn't care, but with how they have done it and it taking 30 more games than the original 22 game figure it was based on feels like a big scam to the audience.

I've always found it strange that Adam doesn't introduce himself when he introduces the table. Especially when someone else does the overview of the game in the intro, like Sully did in this one.

I actually read the secret words…and halfway through this I have no idea what any word is supposed to be.

I watched while knowing the words but forgot most of them immediately - a weird mix of playing along and being very confused, and knowing exactly whats going on

This is a win win as far as I’m concerned - happy for Adam and happy for no monopoly, though I’m sure you guys would’ve House-Ruled it to make it fun, I’m much more excited for your non-monopoly plans! I loved the arch of Adam winning 22 games to connect the series together. I have a suggestion for next years arch in the off chance you guys haven’t already thought of something (as if): A year long epic game of Don’t Get Got with some additional personalised missions voted on or created by Patreons (and vetted by Teri and James). Side note I just joined up to your Patreon and I’m thoroughly enjoying the extra content!

And about the werewords, I think they did count the losses but not in that episode because when you see the ending of the next episode (Secret Identity) there are 5 additional losses on the board that were not there in the ending of Werewords. Or maybe they played some game for patreon in between and counted them (but I doubt there were 5 losses in that) And I haven't counted Adam's 1 win and 2 losses because it's not on YT (most probably available on patreon), and I can't count them because I don't know all the participants and who lost and won those respective games.

I guess my old brain can no longer juggle 8 numbers and 8 words. 🤣 If they ever play this again, tho, I'm going to play right along with them. 😁

Laurie with the foreshadowing at the end. The charity stream wasn't ice bucket challenge, but it was hot bucket cold bucket! 😆

Hey guys, love your channel! Throwing it out there, would love to see you play "scape goat". Funny social deduction game that I think will work extremely well with your group dynamic. Anyway, thank you for your content!

Congrats Adam, as much as I think Monopoly would have been hilarious. I do think this is better for sanity and friendships.

A wonderful episode, as usual! NOTE TO THOSE LOOKING TO PLAY DECRYPTO: This game can go SO much faster, and it does make it more enjoyable. NRB did it where the Encryptor each takes a turn when, even within the rules, it's stated that both teams' Encryptors write their clues down simultaneously. I'd suggest following this route! Another thing you can do that makes it even quicker: instead of one team providing the clues, then both teams discussing, guessing, and getting the results, just have both teams provide the clues at the same time. This way each team can attempt to guess their own sequence and then, when they're done, flip the sheet to their opponent's side to then attempt to guess their sequence. I cannot stress how much better this is and you can get even more games in without losing out on any aspect of the game!

Very interesting game concept, I'm into it. SPOILERS I've been rooting for Adam the whole time, but I almost wish we could have taken even closer to the wire next week because that tension would be delicious. Still, Congratulations sir! I've been rooting for Adam as well. Watching someone play something they legitimately don't like is no fun, and monopoly is almost as trash to watch as it is to play.

I want them to come back and tell us how some of the clues matched up to the words, especially Dom's round of "Expensive, cheese, value". I get cheese for blue, but how does expensive link to leg and how does value link to carrot?

Carly's wrong about the reference Sully should have got. It was "Flair" (NATURE boy rick) that he missed. Then in the next round he proved he knew it, by doing "boy". EDIT: 22 wins and 60ish losses isn't terrible, when he's sometimes coming second out of 6 and counting it as a loss. I'd personally only define losses as the distinct opposite of a win, i.e. nobody else exceeded you in that direction. dead last (or on the losing team if there are teams) is a loss, and only 1st (or on the winning team) is a win. In my mind a quarter of the time he's the best player at the table, and there's a lot of games where there's more than 4 players.

When suddenly Sullivan starts playing Snake Oil Salesman instead.
