There's so much in Brooke's claim to be annoyed at that having such a matter-of-fact rebuttal is excellent.

"she's a princess!" is a top 10 sully moment for sure

Brooke saying "The Little Mermaid was an underdog" and Sully replying with "She's a princess" had major "WICKED WITCH OF THE EAST, BRO!" parallels to it. One of the best NRB moments for sure - (Brooke MVP, especially with that double bluff at the end)

"I have a very expressive face that I can't turn off" is I think my new favorite sentence.

The seriousness with which Sully said “She’s a princess” was so damn funny to me. It was a mix of a logical “oh come on brook she isn’t an underdog” and yet also sounding like a 11 year old girl getting defensive about her favourite Disney princess 😂

It is really throwing me that only Brooke has heard the term "semi-sweet" before. Pretty much any adjective with semi- before it is going to constitute a valid hyphenated word and I would think that semi-sweet would be in the running for the most commonly used example. (Well, I'm American, so it would probably be "semi-automatic" in my area, but semi-sweet has to be pretty high on the list.)

@@Ivy3h I mean, as an American, I've never heard the term, nor has anyone else I know except for my older mother. It seems likely, according to all the etymological sources i can find, that it was a term that existed around the same time in both Britain and the US.

I love that anytime Tilly is sitting on the right side they have to use the tower to figure something out, like she isn’t the smallest member of the group

So the table's vibe this week is: 1) Tilly and Tom trying to not stress out Sully too much. 2) Brooke and Laurie trying to make Adam's head explode.

Im so glad that NRB knows the true meaning of Codenames, which is to willfully misinterpret what the clue you're given means before you do anything else.

With how roadmanlike Adam looks in his current getup I'm absolutely blown away by the fact that Sully of all people is the only person to know about drill in this group.

47:17 I once DMd a campaign of d&d where the party had an npc called Braham the Equitaur, a child born of two centaurs that just ended up two halfs horse. He had human level intelligence, could speak common, and was technically a level 3 fighter when he met the party. Still one of my favorite role playing memories.

I love Brooke and Sullivan's dynamic SO much. "Is there an underdog mermaid story?" " (incensed) Well, The Little Mermaid! She's an underdog!" and the impeccably timed "She's a *princess*." (33:15) Genuinely two of my most beloved parasocial friendships in the world, bless both of them

I love that when "Create" was a clue, Sullivan who's other half is an artist didn't think "brush" even slightly

When Adam mentioned he misheard the lyric 'bright young women, sick of swimming, ready to stand' as 'pregnant women', I just about cried, since I did the exact same thing for a majority of my life

Adam doing Rocket felt like such an impulse clue after embodying Meowth too much 🤣

If you ever get more people for House Rules, you can play Codenames with three teams, someone playing the bystanders and always going last. It's an interesting way to play and really crammed with each miss giving another team a point.

I was literally screaming HOTEL as derelict hint and they started with glass and never went back to it. Every time it was there turn I was screaming hotel at my computer.

My sister thought it was so easy to think of the clues until she had a turn.

It killed me how Sully and Tom completely dismissed “web” as having any connection to “derelict” and started talking about abandoned oil rigs in particular rather than what I feel is one of the most universal indicators of “long-time abandonment and disuse” unless you’re somewhere like Antarctica.

Laurie's Brooke impression is.... Impressive!

The "She's a princess" moment is honestly top 5 funniest moments. I loved it

Well timed for me, this one. Had an absolutely rotten day, it's 2 am, I can't sleep, am incredibly nervous about real life stuff, and I need a video to take my mind off things. Thank you as usual, NRB. Edit: this is one of the very few games I've actually played with friends (they just aren't that into board games, unfortunately). It's formed a lot of in jokes for our circle, and for that, I absolutely love this game.

I was playing Disney Codenames with a friend and he gave me the clue “Pantless”. I instantly locked in Donald Duck. Assassin. It’s been years since this happened and I still haven’t forgiven him.

My favourite part is watching the clue givers dying inside as their team speculates about all the tangential connections to their clues.

The ending was so iconic. The buildup for the whole thing to come down to the greatest underdog story of all time

Quite possibly the greatest example of how a few friends can have a great time; while also encouraging others to do the same! Thank you!

I’m so happy to see Codenames return, this channel is one of the reasons I bought the game and now it’s my family’s favorite game to play on the weekends. Unfortunately, we were only able to play with 4 players so far because every time it’s just me, my grandparents and my mom but maybe at some point we’ll be able to play with more people.

I adore this game. It’s a staple at my game nights and always ends in arguments, followed by someone who was on the losing team going “well I can’t end on that note” and we all play another round

Codenames is such a fun and thrilling game,love to see it again. I feel like to really experience the excitement and the nerve wrenching aspect,I would love to see the two cluegivers being seperated in an area together and there‘d be a camera having their reactions seperated from the guessers while the guessers cannot hear or see the reactions of the guessers. While it is funny experience the cluegiver despairing over the discussions,it also influences the answers of the guessers

Had a horrible day at my job and all my current TTRPG campaigns are on hold. Good thing I have board games! I am going to check out a local game store for their board game night, and tomorrow I will see another shop for THEIR board game night. I am very excited and I have to thank NRB for giving me the courage to check them out
