my 1st experience with the game was pretty much the exact oposite of what he described (kinda). The first levels and the boss were easy and they slowly got harder and then it would double in dificulty and repeat. This is my favorite game in the world right now.

Quick question: in the first minutes of the this playthrough, Wanderbots says that the enemies scale with you, is that right? You cam't go full grind mode and then outlevel the bosses and simple 1shot them with the first simple attack?

@@PhilipAlexanderHassialis you can do it with every other enemy. Bosses have a cap so you can do a max of 15 % damage (it might be more, im not sure) per hit.

The youtuber who made the made the original review was boomstick, and my favorite thing the IGN reviewer said "Almost every level has a door that will unlock after a certain amount of time elapses. He obviously didn't even play the game.

I feel like there's so much Metroidvania potential in Dead Cells if they'd just made the double-jump an upgrade, rather than a default ability. The other upgrades are too situational, to the point that they're more like keys than tools, and they don't make you rethink the game environment enough.

About how many runs did it take before you beat it the first time

It truly makes no sense why every enemy explodes into new year's fireworks when you kill them with a basic sword...

This is a awesome Metroidvania game. I am going too buy it.

As you talk from the moetroidvania game , as a robot which no one knows or remember , well did you mean feudal alloy ?

Also, for gods sake, grab recycling. Every time you pick or pass up an item you could have gotten money in addition or instead of, respectively. That goes for wall chicken too. That is money that you then can just throw recklessly at shops or weapon upgrades or weapon re-rolls, so you don't have to rely on RNG to get decent weapons.

The Castle is the last area I think.... so until you reach there, you need to keep doing runs. Kill the King, and you've won.

Still is, once you beat last boss on normal, you get 1 boss cell, then you rinse and repeat with 1 boss cell, 2.... And then you get 4 Cells mode.... Better have suffered enough runs to have the entire potion Upgraded....

how did u spend the cells? i get confused about this... and yes watching this in 2021 :D

A robot named fight got an update recently and they added a new biome, and more items.

the undead archer war really easy for me i just attacked him rolled and attacked hime from behind. it got one attack in and that was after i rolled, so it shot in the wrong direction. looks much harder for everyone else for some reason. 21:45 that explains it.

The thing that really scares me is picking up a cursed artifact that makes me die in 1 hit and I have to kill like 20 people to lift the curse.... *so nerve racking*

Interesting part is that all the animations were 3d models converted to sprites

the movement and action reminds me of the NES batman game, or perhaps strider hiryu / ninja gaiden

Dayum that boss got nerfed. When I last fought that boss he would gradually get more resistant to cc and get a lot more aggressive, including big double aoe + jump combos. This seems almost boring, if it wasn't for the fact that it's only the first boss of many many runs :D

Slay the spire is pretty famous as well

Actually a few years ago there was another roguelike game called Rogue Legacy. The main gimmick was you would make your contribution to the dynasty, and after you died, you took control of the heir to the fortune. Rinse and repeat.

honestly hitting an enemy with a heavy weapon is just skill needed you see... you hit them have them attack dodge behind them and hit them then so forth.... fast weapons are also good so i have 2 melee weapons lol

That robot game looks fun but $17 bones? Hell no. Even this game I wanted to get on the switch but I’m not paying $25. Nintendo is always ridiculous with their prices on digital games. Breath of the wild is still $65 and I bought it for $20 the other day off somebody. Insane.

First lesson: you don't need to kill everything. Similar to Castlevania enemies are more there as an obstacle and don't offer enough rewards for the risks. Also making time doors is way more valuable than killing enemies ever is. Hope this helps you.

Wanderbots if you skip enemies to make time doors you'll end up with more cells and more scrolls of power than if you kill everything in the way. And the main thing you need to learn is that the game is about moving and killing fast. If you want to learn anything from the enemies it would be parry timings with the shields.

Wanderbots Skipping enemies, at least in first zones, is still viable, since you will get cells and money behind time-locked gates. Would recommend especially skipping first zone.

And I never have been a fan of IGN, they even have clans in games and most of them can't even play the game correctly.

Patrick Sakr I got the game three days ago and have not had that issue, I suggest uninstalling and re-installing to reset the download, it’s a kinda common issue on Xbox to have initial download issues that effect the main game. PS if this doesn’t work idk what will

To be honest, I think this game is best experienced solo at first anyway. Twitch integration for one mostly makes the game harder because you have a lot less control over important choices and areas/bosses can have additional negative effects added to them, and two, I think it dilutes the experience with random things that don't add a whole lot to the game unless you already know what you're doing. If you choose Community Codex for example you never ever get to read the tool tips on brutality/tactics/survival for each level up, so you'd never actually learn that buffing your weakest attribute always provides he largest health buff and vice versa. Yes, technically Wander has played the game before, but it's apparently been at least a little while and the devs specifically recommended starting over.
