I’ve been crafting for decades and have never thought to fold the double sided foam tape in half. That was downright genius! Thanks for sharing all of your creative tips.

Beautiful colors. Beautiful dies. Beautiful card. After securing the sticky foam tape all around, take an embossing buddy and rub it all over the sides that are close to the window, helps the sequins and glittery bits not to stick!

The shaker card is very pretty. Perfect colours for valentines. I love the sentiment. That's awesome ❤️

There’s your T-square again! Some months ago I actually bought a second standard T-square from Simon and cut it down in length. It worked fine too, but then I saw the new one-yay!

This is very pretty. Your dusting buddy is useful against the acetate and also against the foam tape so sequins/glitter won’t stick at all. 😊❤️🇨🇦

Oooh. Great idea on the foam tape and acetate so the sequins don’t stick! I had heard years ago a dryer sheet keeps static off of acetate. Doesn’t the powder cloud the acetate?

@@dizzinese you gently brush it off the acetate with a soft paint brush. I learned this from watching many tutorials here on KZread. I don’t have any acetate myself yet, so haven’t tried any shakers yet. Maybe in the spring I’ll be able to get some to play with. It’s fun seeing and learning. 😊

Pull the scor tape from the side instead of the end. This works for me.

WOW I love that festive berries color. Always love a real red for Christmas and Valentine's day. A real eye catcher. The card is so cute. Great idea.

Wow! Gorgeous card and way easier than cutting frames put with foam. Definitely giving this a try.

Lovely card! Love love love! Use your needle nose tweezers to pull off the release paper from the glue strip after burnishing. Comes off quite easily that way. Works perfectly for me.

Just a beautiful shaker card Cathy! Not clean and simple as you usually do, but I adore it and it's good to branch out every once in a while because you do such good work regardless of style. I *love* that Imperia cover plate, it's on my Wish List at SSS.

love the heart die & such a fun shaker card!!!!

For the foam tape, I fold it back onto itself, full width, then cut it down the middle. Then I can curve it around with the backing still on it. I can also cut into any width, like thirds, if I need it.

Pretty card! Love my new limited edition Platinum 6 too! It's my first Spellbinders die cutting machine. I bought it to have a machine to fold up to travel with and to use with my Spellbinders Glimmer Foil Machine and the color matches my craft room! All my others were Sizzix.

Say, that was a very beautiful card you made. I still have a lot of angst to try those shaker cards again. I watched you do that difficult form and have gained just a little more confidence.

I was so busy crafting I missed the premiere. Love the idea of using a shadow layer to create the aperture for a shaker!

Love the new Spellbinder, gorgeous colour. Adorable shaker card. I do love a shaker card. You must have heard shouting at you to stick with the gold sentiment 😂😂, seriously, I was shouting at you!! 😂😂😂. I also do the hand Slash diningroom along with you at the start of every video. You could also line up your card layers in your MISTI (without the pad) because it’s deeper than your Score Pal.

Hi Cathy, Try Tim's remnant rub tool to peel off the score tape - the flat end. Works like a charm for me. It may not be pokey but it seems to work every time. I think I saw him use it when he was demoing his Paper Village #1 last year. Of course, still burnish the tape a bit. FYI - foam tape always grabs my sequins EVERYTIME. Crazily, I made shaker cards as my Holiday cards this year. Never, ever again. I'm still working on them and I started long before Halloween! This looks like a great card to Valentine's Day, however, I am not thinking about any holiday except Christmas right now. I was okay with it starting early but I'm still very behind. Happy Holidays to you. I look forward to your next card.

You should!

something you could use is the antistatic to the edge of the foam tape BEFORE adding to the front inside to help keep the sequins from sticking to it. Make sure you haven't removed the liner on the tape.

I was just thinking that 3 boops at the top by the smallest heart would’ve balanced better. Maybe? 2 at the bottom. And I mail thick cards all the time. As long as there’s no points like rhinestones or mini clips. Then putting a piece of cardboard or thick cardstock inside to keep it smooth helps. I just add an extra stamp to be sure and off it goes!

I like to lift the score tape from the side, not from the edge that is cut to size. There seems to be some overlap of the release paper, so it is easier to catch. Just works for me.

I love the aqua spellbinder.. I just bought the white one before it came out.. I love the card color the red and gold plus shaker effect

Scrapbook has these super skinny foam tape strips that form super close around shapes. It may work and be less fiddly. I havent made a shaker with it but have used for similar. I need to try it!
