Thanks for the video. This was an excellent review! For me, this product is EXCELLENT for Bantu knot-outs, twist-outs and braid-outs: It is NOT the product to “slay” your hairline/edges (stick with edge tamers and gels for your hairline/edges). I didn’t know that I could pair it with Ecostyler gel without flaking. Thanks for the tip.

As a hairstylist with natural hair, i had stop using it on my relax hair because it used to break my hair and i stopped. Now i went natural for 1.5 years, and now it is breaking my hair, the reason is due to the protein in the product, as we know our hair is 90% protein and too much protein can break the hair, 😢love it for my curls, but now it needs to go in the garbage 😓. Shine and jam also break my hair and also my sisters. We have pretty strong and full head of hair. I am a licensed hair stylist that understand all ethnicity of hair.

By the time you apply it and walk outside it’s frizzy. About to go over it with gel. Great review. You were spot on.

Just used this on my short curly hair and i had to use alot of it to get all my curls to lay down,i have this same one and it is ok until the frizzies pop up! And so greasy!

Same cause Eco don't work in my hair

ive tried using jam and eco style together and after an hour of using it my hair started coming apart it wasnt as strong as i thought it would be my hair kept rising up n not staying were i made it stay when i did the sleek bun

Love this jam it's the only thing that sleeks my hair down to a bun till the next wash day and doesn't oil my hair i work In a hot warehouse and it lasts all day (10hrs) without dripping and this is in thick 3c hair. It is the only product that I can create edges with. It also doesnt leave my hair crunchy like gel does when the style gets old

Jam hates me because when i try to do a sleek ponytail with it ,and wrap it up ,it just looks boofy and doesn't look sleek like how it says on the bottle

My mother keeps telling me to use the jam whenever I run out of eco which also flakes badly. The jam makes it look like I just ran a few miles in 94 degree weather.

OMG this thing bleeds like. I just came off the road and this thing has my face looking a mess my makeup is destroyed. This thing is oily. The sun melts everything and it will make your face and clothes if your not careful look a mess. The only thing is it smells good nothing else.

I have the same exact gel and I do not experience any running; maybe because my hair is dry. It works for me better than my edge gel does. I've been using it now for a week as my edging gel and I haven't experience oiliness.

My hair absorbs all product and spray... eco styling gel last the longest 3 hours, BUT MY GRANNY HAD THIS I TESTED IT OUT AND WHOO my hair stayed sleek for 9 hours I rub it in my hands and apply but if I just grab some and rub it on my head and brush it it last the whole day I mean that’s doing to much I only need it thru school

Warning ⚠ take the comments made on this video clip as the gospel... Jam is a very greasy product and with limited holding capacity on straight blowed dry hair or relaxed hair styles...😞... What a great shame that I not seen this clip prior to purchasing the product..😞.

I've had my daughter's hair in braids and I used let's jam regular hold in her hair to keep the parts slick and separate and it is just easier for me to add hair etc... Anyway she had her braids in about a month ( they were in between box and micros) she has 4b natural hair and I can't get that gel out of her hair for anything!! Can someone please help!

it works if I apply then tie it up over night. I don't use extra hold tho

I love this product for my little girl's hair because it is not a traditional gel, in my opinion. After all, the hold is so-so. My daughter has 3B-3C type hair, and it does define, shine, and moisturize. And it may because of those factors, I don't have to put okay of oils that weigh her hair down. Now, on my deep 4c hair, this product does nothing for it; it is a hard pass.
