I''m a new subscriber. 2nd generation Polish-American. Love the channel and the cooking demos-- and love the history here about the church in Szechin. Making pierogi for Wigilia even though family is staying apart this year. I'm the youngest of 7 and most of the men in family are the cooks. I tried passing torch to nieces, but they are not interested. I try keeping up the traditions of Polish food on Christmas Eve including mushroom soup, sauerkraut soup, smelts, herring, poppyseed cake. NO meat. If my late mother saw meat at table she would flip out. Usually every year I make at least 80-100 pierogi with friends helping out so making small batch this year. It's sad this year with COVID, but we will see each other with virtual and next year will be better. God Bless.

Lovely stain- window with Matka Boska Ostrobramska definitely from people with roots in Wilno? Kresowiacy. In London in Catholic Westminster Cathedral nr Victoria Station, Polish pilots from Wilno gifted the church with the same Madonna image on the wall & a prayer for their safety in the battles in II World War.

This is one of my very favorite videos that you have done. When I was a boy we used to go with my godmother and walk around the city. When she was tired we would go into different Catholic churches. Rest for a bit and say our prayers in Thanksgiving for all the blessings that God had given to us. If you ever make it back to the United States plan to visit Fall River Massachusetts which has many cathedral like churches ✝️🙏

Thanks for the great video. I love Mark's 'Point' beer hat! I live in NY, but sometimes I see Point Special at the beverage store or maybe even on tap when I go on vacation. Whenever I see it, I get it! Last time I was in WI (10 years ago), visiting my cousins, my family and I toured the Point Brewery. That was fun.

You guys are awesome! I come from a polish family in the Midwest of America. Specifically Kansas and Oklahoma. I’m younger than you guys but only by a few years. I saw your vid about being at fort sill. Artillery? I did 9 years in the navy on destroyers. I started a farm working hard to produce food for local families.I found your video with table top pickles insightful! I make them here but the addition of the horseradish leaves for crispness cucumbers is true. I had to grow them.

It's the largest chruch in Pomerania? Well it depends how you look at the Pomerania :) if you go with the "old" definition of Pomerania than it is. If you go with the modern thinking of Pomernia then St. Mary's basillica in Gdańsk is way bigger as it is the biggest brick church in the world (yes, world - not only Poland or Europe)

Politics are always Like that not only in Poland normal people don't pay attention to what they say and they think what they want ,not what someone told them to think.
