Your mom seems like such a wholesome and kind person 🩶
so happy you're loving the raven cycle!!! it's one of my favorite series and that box set is an amazing find
You found Voice of the Master! And The Eccentricities Almanac was in the shelf as well!! Double awesome!!
Hi Emma..What a great find that of artic horror stories!! I always envy you english readers, all the book covers have the name of the book on the spine into the same direction. The editions in spanish (I am from Argentina) have the names in random direccions (either upwards or downwards) so, when thrifting, or even in stores we have to be constantly turning our heads to be able to read them hahahha

yess!! awe thank you Larissa, sending it back
Loved seeing Calcifer in the background keeping an eye on what was going on - he's suddenly become the "old man" of the kitty crew hasn't he?
i’m jealous of the selection of books in secondhand shops in english-speaking countries but not of the prices 😬 i’ve never thrifted a book for more than the equivalent of around $2
I love thrifting videos! Whether they show people thrifting books, antiques, computes and video games. I grew up visiting local flea markets and second hands stores. I love the way you can find things you are looking for or find stuff you were unaware of its existence.
Thanks for the freezer tip! So no more bugs from 2nd hand books! This year, roll up the rim can only be played online if you swiped the point card while purchasing the coffee. I was as lost as you were when I couldn’t find anything under the rim😅
I LOVED Taaqtumi!!! It was SO good! And I don’t usually like short stories. I hope you like it! ❤
New Emma vlog!!! ❤❤❤❤ So so excited, got myself a cup of tea to watch with :)

Emma you are a vibe!!! You bring such quiet joy and love in my life! Thank you 😊
I honestly love vlogs with your fam and fur babies ❤️
This video is so cosy I love it 😊 These second hand stores had surprisingly good finds! Sending much love
I was waiting for this vlog! I love thrifting for books! ☺️💖📚
That lulu the pig stops traffic book is a gem. 😂
"oh, you smell bad too" lmaoo that was so mean
I love that fact that Emma can also read and enjoy fantasy 🤗
I loved this vlog. Your mother is so sweet. You are blessed to have such a loving family.
Such cozy little books shops. Thanks for taking us with you❤
The Book Addict, Goodwill Bookstore on Adelaide St. are good. Two of my other London favorites are City Lights and Attic Books. Also enjoy the Library Book Store.

Is CIty Lights still there? I haven't been to London in many many years, but I had heard that it closed. It was one of my favourite places in the city.

This video is such a god send because I'm about to move to your area and was needing book recommendations ahh!! 💗💗💗
I've only every noticed bugs once in my books and they went away on their own, but good freezer tip! Will definitely remember that.
oh to go book shopping on a rainy day. this was a very cozy video, thanks emma!
emma vloggg omg my day has dranatically improved
Thrifting for books is my very favoritest thing! I just got a couple of Anne of Green Gables books like yesterday at the thrift store. They had a sale where for three dollars you can fill a huge bag full. Anne was in there, along with Catcher in the Rye (which I read 20 years ago and HATED but you and Carolyn have me questioning myself and I want to re-read it again as an adult.) The Awakening by Chopin, and Madam Bouvay, AND Middlemarch! I had never even heard of that before you put it on your GOT list, and I just got it for next to nothing at a thrift store!
Emma, you might like the audio drama - The White Vault! S1 of it is set in Svalbard, so alot of snow and ice and winter!
What a cosy vlog, the perfect way to spend my Saturday morning. ❤
What a busy Friday Night. Everyone is coming along. Hey Emma! I just finished Nervous Conditions. That was a great book, well chosen! Now I'm reading the New Brandon Sanderson. And I'm going to read Kintu anyway. 🙂Hope your weekend goes smashingly!
This made me miss going book shopping with my best friend, we live in different countries now 💔 can’t wait until summer when I go see him. Thank you for the video!
I love watching people go book shopping❤ and I think you’ll really like Othello! It is my favorite tragedy
Othello is such a good play. I read it for my grade 12 English class and it’s still one of my favourites.
Your mom is adorable!
Emma ur such a comfort KZreadr like I love you 🫶
I love The Snow Leopard so much 🤍 so beautifully written
the vibes>>>
the raven cycle box set!! those copies are gorgeous
There is a movie for name Love as first bark, it was release in 2017!!
Love your videos. I live in Cambridge ON and will definitely be keeping these book stores in mind! Keep up the good work!
Emma, this was so therapeutic u have no idea… in my city there are little to no book thrift stores😢
Hi, Emma!! I’ve been a subscriber for a while now and just wanted to say that you helped me with the ordeall of discovering myself as a reader. So… Thanks!! Hugs from Brasil ❤
Perfect video to watch with a cup of coffee. It was a joy, and so jealous of all the books is those bookshops! You had some good finds!
Not in the best of moods, super grateful to this video
I want to go book thrifting so bad, cherished old books are amazing. I recently got The Human Stain from the library to read for my literature class and I love seeing other people's annotations :>
There are some really great finds in these stores!! They even had a copy of Icefields! Sadly I didn’t get to it this winter, but it’s still very much on my upcoming fiction list.
I loved this book haul! Such cool finds 😎
I read The Snow Leopard decades ago but still remember loving it. I too almost squealed when I saw Taaqtumi. And I love that edition of Vanity Fair you held up - I'm going to keep an eye out for it. I laughed out loud at your mom defending her age. 😂 That was a very satisfying haul. I love when that happens.
I love the snap-on shirt! My fiancé is also a mechanic and he wears them all the time
Hi Emma! Love your videos. Can you do a video on how you prepare to read for 24 hrs? I want to do this and any helpful hints are appreciated! Hugs! 😊❤💚
Best wishes with what you choose to read. I hope you get some great stories. I'm currently up to page 881 of the Count of Monte Cristo. Still got some way to go. Very different feeling to be with a book so long. Happy reading.
i read Titus Andronicus after reading and studying Shakespeare's Roman plays chronologically (in terms of roman history not publishing order): Coriolanus, Julius Caesar, and Anthony and Cleopatra (there's a course called Shakespeare and Politics taught by Prof. Paul Canter on yt, these lectures are rich and thought-provoking, highly-recommend). And I love TA after learning Shakespeare's perspective on Roman history, it's dramatic on a whole new level and touching as well, hope u enjoy❤ (ps. ur contents are so comfortable and cozy ❤)
loved this video. I'm now on the search for a thrift store like that. So much options
The kitty humane pictures look like wanted posters. Sooo cute. 😄😇💕
The raven boys box set 😍
I love your videos sooo much💗
Drive your plow is insanely good!
13:06 - Another classic. But his magnum opus is 'Clarissa'. Also one of the longest of its time (1300 pages). Surprisingly readable.
I've had a secondhand copy of Icefields sitting on my shelf for a couple years now, might be time to finally give it a read :)
WE HAVE THE SAME EDITION OF THE DRIVE PLOW BOOK! So happy!
I had an idea: A VIDEO WITH YOUR BROTHER PLAYING THE MAIL MAN (or you as the mail man and he as you, that should be really fun)
Hi Emma! I'm a little late, but I love your book thrift vlog!❤❤❤📖📖📚 You'd be happy to know that I love book shopping at Barnes & Noble! It's heaven to me! I love to shop for new Fantasy books!✨️✨️📚📚🌠
Taaqtumi is one I recommended you ages ago! Its got some great really scary ones, and one about a vet that i think you’ll love because it deals with animals/death!
You look good early mornings. I love your glasses ❤
The dog book I can’t 😭🤣
My boyfriend and I started our relationship in London! He told me he wanted to find all of the Harry Potter books in the old hardcovers because he lost all of his in foster care. I found all 7 at thrift stores in hardcover and the second goodwill you went to is where I found Chamber of Secrets. I haven’t been there since that day so it was a nice surprise to see in your video. London will always have a special place in my heart
Going over the budget seems to have been worth it! 😄 random thing, Emma: i finished a book recently and it became a new favorite and while it seems out of your usual enjoyed genres i couldn't help but to keep thinking you might enjoy it? It's called The Love Scribe by Amy Meyerson! It made me want to read Letters To A Young Poet by Rilke 🤭
9:45 Your rationalizing is next level. I'm convinced! :) And books in the freezer is a pro tip. I'm stealing that one.
the raven cycle aaaaaaaa 💜💜🌃🐦
I read Snow Leopard in college and would definitely watch and episode to see what you think.
Another wonderful Emma video ❤
Your mon is so cute 😂 the way she literally couldn’t breath looking at that weird animal book had me wheezing lol reminded me of my own mom 😂
These small town vibes are so lovely...🥺🤌🏼🩷 Feels so warming...🫶🏼
I just finished reading The Extinction of Irena Rey by Jennifer Croft - who is one of Olga's English translators, for The Books of Jacob and Flights - and now I'm intrigued to read Olga's books. Croft pays tribute to translators and authors, and Olga specifically in The Extinction, and it made me curious about Olga's works.
I'm really excited to see what you think of the Snow Leopard, I got that book myself from a second hand shop in Kathmandu, Nepal when I was hiking there and it just felt like the right time to get it lol. It really surprised me and I thought it was beautifully written but I don't know anyone who has read it so i'd love to hear your opinions.
I love your book video
hello! I'm not sure if you're taking recommendations but if you like everything winter/ice/snow/etc, I would highly recommend you read two novels by Michelle Paver: Thin Air, which is about an expedition to the mountains; and Dark Matter, which is about an Arctic expedition. Both are ghost stories, but I personally would categorize them as psychological horror. I read both and loved them, but my personal favorite is definitely Thin Air since I love the mountains as a story setting. Hope you enjoy the books you picked up, that box set was intended to be on your shelves :D
Love this idea! ❤
DRIVE YOUR PLOW IS MY FAV BOOK OF ALL TIME
Love a good second hand book 🙃
If you think Pamela is long look at Richardson’s Clarissa! It’s like 1600 pages. Henry Fielding mocked Richardson’s moralistic fiction. Titus Andronicus is a howler. Really bad. That’s why it’s not taught very often.
4:03 - Classic. Get it. & look for his 'Barry Lyndon'
i really wanna see more vlogs🦋🥰
Beautiful finds!
I'm honestly surprised you haven't read Othello! I've read it a good three times now, and it gets better after each read. It's one of those few Shakespearean plays where you can imagine exactly what's happening in the scenes and leave one haunted. One of my most favorite plays from Shakespeare of all time.
I have Peter Matthiessen's Shadow Country to read someday. I also need to get Snow Leopard though.
Samuel Richardson wrote Pamela, published in 1740, & Clarissa, published in 1748. The father of the 1st epistolary novel. The 2nd one was put in my top 100 books ever list. 65) "Clarissa, or, the History of a Young Lady" by Samuel Richardson 162) "Pamela, or, Virtue rewarded" by Samuel Richardson

I read Clarissa last year and really liked it (other than it being entirely too long 😅). I said I would never read it again but now I'm rethinking that. I might need to read Pamela first or Sir Charles Grandison.

@@Thecatladybooknook_PennyD, you were fascinated by the villians, the family members, the main character and their development, and the story. With Clarissa is waxed sublime. With Pamela it was like he was learning the art and writing a good story, but it ended a little off in feel. With Clarissa that can't be said.
I love you so much my fav booktuber 🥹💕
I love Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead! 10:36
Emmaaaaa read Dark Matter by Michelle Paver!!!!! Its first and foremost a winter book…. But with ghosts and a sprinkle of romance!!!
Just subscribed and just added drive your plow to my tbr!
Read othello in high school and has since stuck with me. Can’t wait to hear what you have to say about it ❤
4:01 I have that same edition of "O-Zone" by Paul Theroux. Literary Sci-Fi. It has been on my TBR for a decade. Maybe it's time.
Can you explain what you mean by putting the books in the freezer (like in a bag??)? I usually buy thrifted books and didn’t know it’s something that should be done 😭😭thanks!!
