I loved the Crave series because I loved the silly goofy unserious vibes Sweet Vengeance was darker than the Crave series but there are major spoilers for some of the characters and plot in the Crave series in Sweet Vengeance. So unless you’ve read the crave series or don’t care for being spoiled, I would hold off on sweet vengeance

Last year Fear the Flames was my top read of the year! I read the OG Indie edition and I know she’s changed some of the extra plot points, so I’m super excited for her. It’s comp’ed to Fourth Wing which is fairly accurate but there’s no school setting and the dragons are minimal in it. Also I just recently finished Five Broken Blades and that was amazing! CariCanRead put it perfectly when she said those feel like completely different people with their own lives and backstories! I am really looking forward to the sequel. 🥰💖

This is my reminder to get Lucy Foley’s new book. I forgot about it!

I read a ton of novellas and graphic novels this month, plus a couple regular books, and now I’m in a slump🫠🫠🫠 but I guess it’s a good time for it bc my family is coming up on our next fundraiser for my moms medical expenses(rare genetic diseases SUCK) so I’m keeping busy at least!

New releases - on my channel, I do each week's new releases every morning live (though I do repost it for later viewing) Monday through Friday, a different genre every day. Monday - cozy mystery; Tuesday - mysteries/thrillers; Wednesday - romance; Thursday - Fantasy/Science Fiction; and Fridays are "free-form". I do it because I want to know what's out there and I don't care about reviews (what other people think about a book). No one else was doing it that I could find so I figured I had to do it myself. 🧐📚

I read her book The Authenticity Project and really liked it. I picked up her book Iona Iverson’s Rules for Commuting but haven’t read it yet. I just finished reading Five Broken Blades a couple days ago and, overall, it was a good time. Not the best fantasy I’ve ever read (it’s quite basic and lacks any real depth), but it was entertaining. I liked it enough to want to read book two when it comes out next year (I think Jan 2025)

Five Broken Blades... Wish I could say I loved it It would have been a MUCH better book if written in third person. The voices of the characters were so similar that I kept having to go back and see who the title chapter was - which is how you know who is supposed to be speaking. It drove me crazy. I won't read the next one.

I don’t think that would be the case at all! His books are actually where I’d probably point beginner epic fantasy (The Way of Kings) readers or sci-fi (Skyward) readers to!

Also, if I just wanted to read or recommend ONE Riley Sager, which one would you recommend/which one is the most well liked? Thank you!
