By the way, if you stream parts of the development process on KZread, you can create polls in the live stream chat, allowing the live viewers to give immediate live feedback and also give suggestions. Just something to think about. Bet you weren't expecting suggestions about the suggestion concept itself lol Edit: Dungeon crawler with base building would've been so cool

I've actually done a true "create a game together" project where every participant makes a part of a game, and then everything gets combined into a huge abomination of a game. But it's only possible with other gamedevs (I organized a gamejam for it), took a lot of effort and I had to impose a lot of restrictions to ensure it would be physically possible to slap all the parts together.

Reminds me of the paintings that got sent from KZreadr to KZreadr until they were completed. Super cool videos and would be an interesting thing to have happen in the game dev community too...

I absolutely love the idea of a game where you grow cards then go and fight bosses with them. Maybe you use up cards as you play them leading to the farming mechanics.

Awesome idea! Was thinking about community-driven development for a long time and it's inspiring to see interest in your project both from regular players and other devs. Hard lean on community feedback has done wonders for many modern games, such as Deep Rock Galactic, and polling system seems to work for Old School Runescape, so I think your approach has a lot of potential. Haven't seen your other devlogs, but I love how you aim for a smaller project with a shorter development cycle and lean into genres you have experience with while also utilizing asset packs. Very professional approach, hats off. Will certainly jump into Discord when it's up and also subscribed and left my votes on current polls. P.S. Already expect to be frustrated by losing polls xD There are multiple fun ideas there and what's more fun to watch as a developer doesn't always align to the most popular player choice =)

survival game and exploration you could be chased so you can't really set a camp and setting one up is an investment needed to progress but you will lose it or the resources could be really scarce so you have to constantly look for new ones but there should be interesting ennemies or else it might get boring

farming + ressources management could be like The martian, like you need water to drink but also to grow stuff and you are limited so which one will you use it for what's an hex board ?

I'd love a survival and crafting game where the survival is realistic - temperature, thirst, protection, nutrition, predators, etc., and at the same time an addative and subtracting manufacturing and interaction with the environment, so you could get any material and craft it into any shape, just like in real life. I've seen games that get close to that but not as well. If you model some material properties such as hardness, thermal conductivity, etc., the sky's the limit - insane amount of content & variet generated for free
