I LOVE that you guys are reacting to this show and that you both already have two different perspectives on Carmy and how he’s (starting) to manage the crew. Jeremy Allen White is fantastic as well as every single actor on the show. Quick, witty, gritty, and real writing and great storytelling. I’m a Chicago native but been a NYC resident for almost 20yrs, so I fell in love with this show and look forward to witness you Jersey Boys’ reactions to this series that is so very Chitown. I almost wish you would react to multiple episodes per video or maybe release the reactions multiple times per week since the episodes are so short. Either way, I’m here for your reactions!

That's not being pushy. That's just how it is in a kitchen. And it's his kitchen. And he is actually being very respectful by referring to everyone as Chef. I doubt any of them had been called that before.

It's a very accurate representation of someone trying to reform an organization that had fundamental problems for a long time. The employees have adjusted and found a way to get the work done. They have been overworked and most likely underpaid but they kept the business going even with a screw-up for an owner. Now the new owner comes in and "rewards" them by messing with their system and adding more work for them From their perspective he is taking a very difficult job and making it impossible. We know that he is right but he also failed to get his employee on board with the new way of doing things and just seems like a tyrant.

This show is so good! All the characters feel like real people. And they all grow on you. Some like a fungus but they all grow on you. Fun fact: this is based on a real place in Chicago. The owner of the real place plays the shady meat dealer with the meat in the back of his car.

So thrilled you guys are doing The Bear! I honestly think it's the best show currently on television. It's overflowing with so much heart that it's impossible not to fall in love with it.

Excellent series. If you want a great movie about cooking and food trucks try Chef with Jon Favreau and John Leguizamo.
