    You have to be careful with any adhesive (tape on back of velcro). Snakes have very thin skin so if it somehow comes up and gets stuck on them it can actually cause really bad injuries

    A few questions for you. But first, thank you for an awesome build video. I LOVE DIY and I have grandiose plans of making more racks and cages for my collection. I have a modge podge of various commercially made and DIY racks. I have not made a rack in a while but I plan on making something for these exact tubs. Why make two racks instead of just one rack with larger shelves? If you are worried about sagging, you could put in shelf supports in the middle and save material right? Also, have you had any issues with warping or swelling yet with the melamine? I was thinking of using 1/2" too but I would also need to special order it. I was thinking of adding a couple layers of DryLock to all the sides and even to the edges to help minimize moisture penetration. I was also thinking of adding some silicone to the seams but not sure if that would be overkill. Anyway...love the amount of space you have for your building shop. I WISH I could have my woodworking area that spacious!

    How has the velcro deli cups been working out for you? Do you fill the velcro one with water or do you use a second cup set inside that one so you don't have to keep using more velcro when the cup gets dirty? I'm tired of chasing water bowls everywhere 😂

    Really love watching your diy vids, so I was wondering if it wouldn't work out better to assemble it then start at the bottom and pull a couple shelves at a time so you still have good stability but can staple and tape easier ? Anyways great vid dude!!

    Looks great I like those vision tubs to myself so question when everyone runs heat tape why dont they solder the wires for the plug on the top of the heat tape considering usually that where most people have there Thermostat is on top of the rack just makes sense to me but is there a reason the wires are on the bottom Thanks

  • @MorphMixologyReptiles

    @MorphMixologyReptiles

    5 жыл бұрын

    The theory is there could be a degree or two difference from top to bottom and a 20' long piece of heat tape could have a degree or two drop from plug to end. So if you apply the "most power" (soldered end) at the bottom, the difference would even out at the top. Honestly I don't see a difference either way, and typically have the wire at the top, but for whatever reason didn't this time.

Would these build plans and method of building work the same for the 1/2” pvc sheets you can buy at Home Depot as well? I know they’re a bit more expensive than melamine, something like 65 a piece in my area

  • @MorphMixologyReptiles
