I love citrus flavor desserts. This will be a nice one indeed. I would make them with my mini muffin tin to keep it a smaller portion for myself and have tea with. Thank you, Jill, for another beautiful recipe. Oh Yum. 🍊🍊🍊🍊

I love that you’re using 1950s Pyrex nesting bowls to make your 1940s muffins. I have the whole set. My large yellow bowl like yours was my mom’s, but the green, red, and blue smaller bowls were a purchase from eBay. They’re my favorite & most used bowls in my kitchen.

Hi Debbie, I was thinking about that bowl. I'm 70, almost 71, and I can remember my mom using that bowl since I was a young child. So that bowl is at least 70-75 years old. How wonderful you were able to fill out the set!

@@Jill4Today I just searched online and the bowls are actually from the 40s. I have my mom’s The Joy of Cooking from the early 50s and you’ve inspired me to get it out and look through it. One recipe said it was as old fashioned as the song I Love to Hear Grandpa Eat Soup. Hahaha! I wonder what that song sounded like. I also have The Classic Italian Cookbook by Marcella Hazan from the early 60s that I got as a result of the movie Julie & Julia and 3 trips to Italy. My intention was to cook at least a couple of recipes from it each month, but I haven’t done it. With your Italian heritage, I’d love to see you cook your way through it. That way I could experience it vicariously though you. 😉

I love the recipe and will try it, but I love your moms Pyrex bowl even better! I have my set of 4 in gold which were a bridal shower gift in 1977! They are the most used items in my kitchen!! What a pity todays brides can not get something that will last forever, like those bowls!!

What a great story! How wonderful you still have that set of bowls. We were married in 1976, so we are of the same era.....we got 3 fondue pots at my bridal shower!!!

@@Jill4Today those were the good old days before registries-where we did get three of something! Today, as my daughter is getting married, it’s incredible what they put on the registries!!!!! But I did have to laugh when my daughter put a set of three glass Pyrex bowls on her registry! It will be her most used item! You look wonderful, Jill, and I continue to pray for you every single morning! ❤️🙏🏻
